Bobby Myrick suffered a heart attack this a.m. He was 59- didn't know if any of you guys knew him, but figured I'd pass it along. Great guy and helluva pitcher.
Got to know Bobby a little bit a few years ago via playing golf with him in his hometown of Hattiesburg. Knew he played ball at State and was a Bulldog fan but did not realize he pitched in the Majors a few years. Great guy and darn good golfer. Good man gone to early.
Yeah, crazy he was just 59 and in great shape- it's been a shock for those of us in The Burg. He was a regular at my restaurant and would always liven up the place. Sad day indeed.
