Former DR Football coach passed away

Today was a tough day for me as I found out that mine and my brother's former football coach, Ken Meadors, passed away on Sunday night. Prayers for his wife, his two daughters, and his family. Meadors coached at Gretna, but I believe he's most known for his time at Dan River High in the 1990s and early 2000s. After leaving DR (in 2004?), he coached at Bartlett Yancey (NC) and Bluestone before retiring and working as a car salesman. R.I.P. Coach Meadors.

He was my first JV Football coach and Baseball coach at Gretna Jr. High....we remained friends until his passing. Very sad day indeed for anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Ken. Prayers to his family.

He was my coach at Bluestone in 2006. He was a great mentor as well as football mind. Prayers for his family in this hard time.
