You’re making an awful lot of assumptions there bud. Nobody even mentioned one on one at all. You and Boston dating? 🤔

🤣
Oh I have a lot of assumptions I can make. A lot. Anyways, ol dude said he could beat him, you agreed and said some stupid **** about back in my day, pretty much agreeing you could beat Boston as well. I called ******** like numerous other people and now you are butt hurt.

Also, read post 19. You drunk? How do you not remember what happened in this short *** thread? Put down the bottle, or needle.

I take that back, I like you bud. Agree to disagree I reckon.

I’m pretty sure he said he had better footwork. I didn’t see anything regarding one on one. You could make a lot of assumptions, eh? LOL

EDIT: He also said he was quicker and could shoot better. I mean, Boston isn’t quick and he doesn’t shoot well. That’s not a huge reach. Just sayin.

I hope you’re right. But his release on his shot is so awkward and somewhat slow, his footwork and quickness have to get better for the next level.

BTW, IQ did do something tonight that Herro didn’t do in the 20+ playoffs his rookie season, score in single digits.

IQ though will have a good career, I’m certain, but the disrespect is a bit overdone.
People dont understand heat culture. Herro gets ripped for every bad game he has because heat wouldn't include him for a harden trade. Harden doesn't fit heat culture

I’ve been involved or around the game for nearly 35 years. I’ve been fortunate to meet people in the game, watch some of today’s NBA players develop from there youths, see them work and train, and so on. There’s a reason Riley is high on Herro, but if fans think it was just Herro for Harden, then they truly are clueless or simply pushing a stupid narrative.

That same culture is now starting to come down on Bam. But like I’ve said, there’s something else at play here. And I’m pretty sure I’m right.

It’s interesting, in Herro’s rookie season playoff run, he didn’t have one single off night that came close to IQ’s last night. Not even close. But like you said, Heat Culture is something different.

Maxey just needs to perhaps get moved to a team to crack the rotation. I agree, it’s either him or Herro. Those two have the skill sets for their positions.

Herro is actually the 3rd top bench scorer this season in the entire league. Average 16 a game rookie year playoffs all the way to the finals.

Maxey doesn’t play.

And I’m quicker and have better footwork than Boston. Probably shoot better even with a torn rotor in shoulder.

Watching Quickley now and he’s struggling to get a shot off without being blocked.

Crazy.
I voted Herro and was surprised to see he was so low in the results. Glad to hear my instincts weren’t so bad after all.

I couldn't vote because I don't twitter but I would have voted for Herro. I think he has a chance to be a team's go to scorer and average 25 ppg.

i don’t watch any nba, but my son (18) will get on here and scroll thru the boards and asked what “Heat Culture” (I had to give him a double take because I despise the NBA), but he said he saw it on here (he likes the Heat because if former Kentucky players).

so he’s curious as to what it is. Do they hate Kentucky players?

It’s a Miami Heat thing were they believe they are the hardest working, most team-oriented, acquire players that are selfless, and basically play for the organization and fans rather than for contracts, but dang the fans there and along with the Knicks will turn on you in an instant.

I’m convinced that those two bases are just as passionate as BBN, but BBN by far understands the game and has elite knowledge over any of them.

Yeah Boston would abuse any person on this board. It’s one thing to say he didn’t live up to the hype, which is true and completely accurate.

It’s another to disconnect from the reality of the physical world and claim you could hang with him (not you Sosa but those you’re replying to)

Like it or not he’s going to get drafted and play in the NBA.

When people claim that it reminds me of this video:

That's a great video, Travis. Reality checks don't get much more in your face than that.

Maybe so, but lumping every poster on the board all into one group is silly. So some of these posters here weren’t damn good ball players in their day because they post on RR? Is that how it works? 😆

Fact is, this is an anonymous message board and nobody really truly knows who on this board played where or how good they were. Just assuming that someone is not athletic or never played at a high level just because they’re from small town, Kentucky is ******* absurd and ignorant IMO.

Who’s to say that @BlueLegends wasn’t some high level player somewhere at some point? I mean, I don’t know that, one way or the other. Neither does anyone here.

Boston will not be in the NBA in 10 years. None of us here are rooting against him. All off are hoping for great success. It’s just an opinion and if they ran a poll on whether he would be in the league, yes or no, in five years, my guess the vote would likely tilt toward no.
Exactly. Fact is, Boston was vastly overrated. I would also vote no on him being in the NBA in ten years. He has a long way to go to become a contributing NBA player IMO.

Exactly. One of these choices are not like the others. All three of those other guys are much better than Boston. Not even remotely close IMO.
All 3 are ahead of the curve. Just different situations on respective teams. Just hoping IQ can shine a little better for the Knicks in the P/O’s.

He’s extremely welcome.

I’m certain he shouldn’t let social media bother him, both Bam and Herro are well ahead of the growth curve at the ages of 23 and 21. As is several of BBN’s younger players in the league.

he wants me to watch the NBA, but I refuse, but I don’t let my opinions get in his way of his enjoyment. He loves the Heat, so good on him.

What are you talking about, Cowtown? I guess I missed something that was going on in the thread somewhere else. I just saw that video and watched and thought it was spot on about how good even the least of NBA players really are. Whatever else you guys had going on, don't try to pull me into it.

All I know is, my jump shot is now a set shot, and if I’m going to touch the rim, it’ll be me standing 3 or more steps up on the ladder 🤣.

I hear ya. Last time I played, my jumper was so off it was mind boggling. Last time I dunked a basketball was about four years ago. Not sure if I could now or not. I’m very out of shape. 😆

Basketball is one of those things that if you don’t play consistently, your skills drop considerably. It’s tough to get your rhythm back if you don’t stay on it. At least, that’s been my experience anyway. Hitting a baseball is the same way IMO.

My first love was baseball. Me second was basketball. Miss playing them badly. Those two sports was all I ever did growing up. A little football mixed in, here and there.

My post was more a general statement than anything else. Not necessarily directed at anyone in particular. Admittedly, I did take your post out of context. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I understand what you’re saying Cowtown, but in any one single year there are what, 400 NBA players on the planet?

The odds that anyone posting on this message board have ever been in that elite company are minuscule.

The video I posted was of a 43 year old ex-NBA player, who was statistically one of the worst players in the NBA when he played. He was challenged by multiple guys, including professional overseas and high level D-1 players and embarrassed all of them. At 43 years old.

The talent gap is so vast that it’s just silly for anyone to say they would beat BJ Boston in basketball.

Again, maybe there are ex-NBA players who post on here. Probability says not, and I’m guessing they would’ve been identified already. But maybe. If so, they could hang with BJ Boston in a game of basketball one on one because they displayed the talent to play in the top level of basketball on the planet.

Anyone who didn’t play in the NBA would get abused by him. He will play in the NBA, even if only for a few seasons. Probably never at a high level. But unless a poster on here also played in the NBA they would have zero chance of beating him.

Again, nobody mentioned beating anyone in a game of one on one anyway. Like it was literally never even said. One on one doesn’t necessarily define how good or not someone is at the game anyway. I’ve never understood the one on one argument. It’s a team game. JMO.

The poster said he could shoot better. I mean, did you see Boston shoot this year? Trust me, he’s not being drafted due to his shooting, or lack thereof. He’s being drafted because he has NBA measurables and upside.

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if there’s posters on this very board that could shoot a basketball better than Boston. It really wouldn’t. Not even one iota.

Maxey showed some serious potential at times this year. Is it possible that Herro winds up being the 4th place guy? Obviously, that requires BJ to really show out.. but I think he will. I think BJ surprises us.

This was BlueLegends response to Sosa saying Boston would abuse him on the basketball court.
And everything on this board is deemed 🧐 serious. I hope he does become a great player in the NBA, but from nearly 40 years of being in or around the game, I just believe his path is going to extremely difficult.

I agree I don’t think he’s going to play at the top level of the NBA. I hope he proves me wrong.
