There's no cabal ... there's just people of weak moral character and opportunity ... and this exists on every level of society, which is why it's also allowed to flourish at the top levels.

That's part of what fuels the conspiracy folks, is this chase to take down those with power and influence, because they must be abusing their power and influence. But, here's the thing ... those same people are probably abusing power and influence at whatever level of societal involvement they participate. 20 ago I asked a lot of people at my work how much money do you consider a lot of money. Some of the lower income workers said they would feen rich if they had $100k.
