He had tendonitis in his elbow, and I'm guessing that he may have had surgery on his elbow (likely Tommy John) it since he was at the hospital. Of course, he could have just as well been visiting a family member, so who knows? At one time, his plan was to not have surgery, but that could have very well changed.
As of now, he is not on the team. He is still in school at MSU, and plans to continue as a student while he mulls over his baseball future.
