QB Case Keenum, Jr. Houston
This week: at UTEP.
Last week: 38-of-58 for 435 yards and a touchdown and an interception, and he ran for a one-yard score in the win over Texas Tech.

Colt McCoy threw for 205 yards in the Texas win over Texas Tech, while Keenum threw for 435 yards with a game-winning drive to launch his campaign and Houston's season. Virtually unstoppable so far, he has completed 69 percent of his throws for 1,160 yards and eight touchdowns with two interceptions, and he has run for a score in each of the first three games. The scary part is the rest of the schedule - there's no one left to stop him outside of, maybe, Mississippi State. Already second in the nation in total offense behind Hawaii's Greg Alexander, he'll obliterate UTEP this week before dealing with MSU.

We're the best option!! woo hoo!!

I think how we perform against Houston will hinge on whether we win or lose Saturday. A win over GT will be a big confidence booster and build a lot of momentum heading into home coming. A loss, however, could deal our guys a serious blow. Especially if it is another LSU type loss.

On Scott Field, I think a separated shoulder would be useful for Keenum.

Here's hoping we end his Heisman campaign the same way we did a guy named Shane Matthews.
