So how many that went undrafted will get free agent deals?

Looks like Alonzo Moore went to the Chiefs, Brandon Reilly went to the Bills, and Josh Banderas went to the Broncos.

Can't believe no Westy yet.....??
Pats. Really good fit for him. Newby to the Vikes is a really good fit too. Utter didn't get a FA contract. He got a tryout and I'll be really surprised if they sign him but hey they're desperate for O linemen so who knows.

Great fit for Westy. Burkhead,Westy and Valentine. Now it will be hard to root against them. LOL

I HATE the Pats... I will cheer the individuals but not the team... and celebrate a superbowl championship for those players if it happens, but go any team playing the Pats!

It would be really tough cheering for the same team as my dad...

I have to be a bit of a closet Patriots fan. Russ Hochstein and I have some mutual friends and you have to admire their success. I root for them as long as they're not playing the Vikings.

I am a Patriots fan and have been since 1994, but I totally get why people hate them. On the other hand, none of us are likely to see a team as successful they have been over the last 15 years during our lifetimes.

Armstrong a hell of a athlete but honestly i didn't see him gettinf signed somewhere before Westy did. Did Westy not get picked up anywhere yet?? If no, im not to worried. Dude can catch anything thrown his way. Some NFL team will get a steal from him when they get him.

Westy to Pats, per earlier in this thread.

Free agent deals aren't the draft - they don't happen in any particular order. Maybe Westerkamp took longer to sign because his agent got more phone calls.

My hate for the Pats started the year they beat the Rams in the superbowl. I don't remember much about the game now, but something ticked me off during the game and then the Pats won.

THEN my dad became a fan of them and I have hated them ever since...

Any alleged scandals have only made me feel justified in my hate :)

Once my dad or Brady is gone though, I might not care to hate them as much.

Yet he started... so is Coach Cav a bad alent evaluator in practice, did he decide thar seniority wins out no matter what, or was Utter seriously the 5th best Olineman last year?
I guess, given injuries, it is your last option. My guess is he started at center because he knew the offense extremely well and made good check calls. And with his backup Decker injured, as well as a bunch of others, there was zero depth. In a regular year with few injuries and decent depth, Utter would have been a third string non contributor in my view.

Should have had a poll before the draft seeing what order the receivers would go and which receivers would get signed.

Reilly is fast. Westy was injured. Is that why Westy is getting a tryout and Reilly signed a deal?

They still have to make the roster eventually.

Who will actually make the 53-man roster between Reilly, Moore, and Westy?

Westy will make the roster on some team for sure ;)

Now other then that im going with Moore. Dudes got some wheels, good hands and has some good moves on him. Little better athlete the Reilly (in my opinion).

Sam Hahn tryout with Vikes. MRI with Bears. Probably doesn't hurt having JD Spielman's adoptive father as the GM. Good Vikes connection.

According to Husker on Line, Westy has a tryout with Tampa Bay

I won't be surprised if Westy doesn't make a roster. Great hands and good route runner. Size, speed, and strength are not NFL caliber. That won't cut it in the NFL. Just being realistic.

Your knocks about Westy are the old way of thinking in the NFL. NFL receivers are not all 6 6, speed demons. Lots of NFL WR superstars are Westy sizes. Probably the 2 best WRs in the NFL are the same size of Westy (Antonio Brown & ODB).

As far as speed goes, you'd be surprised on how much great route running can overcome speed. But great speed can't overcome poor route running. Look at Anquan Boldin. He ran close to a 4.8 and has had an excellent career. I posted a while ago NFL superstars 40's & size and how they are close to Westy's measurables . He fits the mold of the Doug Baldwins, Edelmans, Cobbs, etc.

It's not his size holding him back. It's his history of being injured that's holding him back.

It all seemed to change around 2009's draft and the Heyward-Bey pick. Great size, great speed, but poor hands and route running.

Westy would be killer in New England. Welker...Edelman...Westerkamp.
If he lands there, it's just not fair.

Injury is certainly part of it. Along with size, speed, strength, etc.

Westy was a money college WR. But that''s likely to be the end of it.

...but I guess the entire NFL has it wrong and you nailed it.

According to the Vikings they only signed newby. Armstrong must have been a tryout.
