just look into BitTorrents.... I moved to Costa Rica the day of the final episode of Sopranos. Working for Four Seasons hotels and knowing the fact that I would be living in a hotel suite for the first month or so I just assumed I would be able to watch the final episode on the hotel TV. Well, I was wrong... they have HBO Latin America here and they were only airing the second or so episode of the final season at that time so I was going to have to wait. Not being a patient person I figured my good friend google would help me find it. I sure did and opened a whole new world to getting television programs.
Take this past Sunday for example. Entourage airs at, what, 10:00 pm ET? by 11:00 pm ET (9:00 pm local time) I was able to start a down load of the newest Entourage episode. By about 9:15 I was able to watch it in perfect 1080i quality. I use Windows media center in my house so watching it on my television in my living room is a breeze. Tonight I am browsing sixpack as I wait for last night's episode of Weeds to finish downloading and then I will be watching that. Also great for network programs as all of the commercials are cut out.
A great bit torrent search engine is eztv.it However, at this moment the site is down but will be running again very shortly. They even have a ezsports.it or it may be ezsport.it web site that is awsome for me to catch any US sporting event for me to stream as it airs. This site is also down at the moment but it is still in the development stages.

Be careful with bit torrent sites. I got a letter a few years ago for downloading a sopranos show. With bit torrent your file sharing so you are uploading or distributing copy righted material. Switch to usenet or news groups and you are no longer file sharing or uploading. With newsgroups you can be watching most any tv show within 30 - 45 minutes after it airs. Takes about 5 minutes to download Entourage, Weeds, Etc.
you can control your upload to download ratio. I personally do not upload so I have no problems there.... besides who is going to pay attention to my internet usage in Costa Rica? The other day on the local news they estimated that over 95% of the Windows software sold in this country was pirated.
