Freedom looked unstoppable early, scoring on their first four possessions before a wide-open receiver dropped a pass in the end zone on their fifth. Hylton came from 28-7 down to take 35-28 and 42-35 leads. Game was tied at 42 midway through the third quarter before the defenses stepped up a bit; Freedom won it on a 33-yard pass from Felton to Surratt with about five minutes left.
Felton was certainly Freedom's star, throwing for three touchdowns and running for three more. Hard to catch him once he gets in the open field. Slade didn't do much on the ground (the Post has Hylton with -6 yards rushing on the night), but threw a long touchdown pass in the first quarter and had a nice catch for a score shortly before halftime.
