Your viewing guide for Friday.

1:00 - Miami vs. Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech is probably in win or lose. Miami can still play their way in. A VT win probably sends Miami to the NIT.

17. Virginia Tech leads the entire game and Miami comes back.

1:30 - Saint Louis vs. Rhode Island
Really need St. Louis to win this one. URI damaged themselves last week with some bad losses, but they are right back in it. St. Louis would have to probably win the A-10 tournament to get in, and that would include beating Temple and Xavier or Richmond (3 solid locks)

17. St. Louis never threatened.

2:00 Wisconsin vs. Illinois
Why Illinois is considered on the bubble disgusts me, but a much better Wisconsin team winning the Big Ten quarterfinal should end the talk of the Illini getting in with 14 losses and an RPI in the 80s.

17. Wisconsin sucks ***. Tried to come back at the end, but ILLINOIS IS A 14 LOSS TEAM. HOW ARE THEY A LOCK? It would be like Alabama winning today and all of a sudden they were an NCAA team.

2:15 Tennessee vs. Ole Miss
This is an interesting game for our bubble chances. An Ole Miss win probably gives them enough to get in, and a loss combined with our win probably knocks them out. However there is that pesky "get Ole Miss into the top 50" thing. I think when all is said and done, we need to win and have Tennessee beat Ole Miss.

5:30 Tulsa vs. UTEP
UTEP is in regardless, and with Memphis and UAB losing yesterday, C-USA is a one-bid conference if UTEP wins the tournament. Need UTEP to win this one, but remember that this game is at Tulsa.

5:30 Dayton vs. Xavier
A Xavier win pretty much solidifies Dayton's spot in the NIT.

6:30 Mississippi State vs. Florida
None of this matters if we do not win this game.

8:00 Lousiana Tech vs. Utah State
Utah State sits at 25-6. The WAC is no doubt a one bid conference if Utah State wins the tournament. If they lose this one to a solid Louisiana Tech team, they could get an at-large bid with an RPI of 30.

8:00 San Diego State vs. New Mexico
SDSU has a claim to an at-large bid win or lose, but if they win, there is no question. We need New Mexico to win so that SDSU's schedule comes into play.

8:00 Michigan State vs. Minnesota
A Minnesota loss would be their 13th, and like Illinois, questions on why they are considered an at-large contender. Michigan State winning would probably knock Minnesota out of contention

8:00 UCLA vs. California
Cal is in regardless, we need for them to continue winning in the Pac 10 so that they are a one-bid league. Arizona State's loss last night eliminated the Sun Devils

10:30 UNLV vs. BYU
UNLV has an outside shot at an at-large, but this is the semifinal. A San Diego State-UNLV MWC final would be devastating to the bubble, especially if UNLV were to win.

10:30 Stanford vs. Washington
The Cardinal have no chance unless they win it. Washington has a chance if they reach the Pac 10 final.

It looks to me like UNLV is probably in. You are right about SDSU though. The bubble teams need New Mexico to win, and it wouldn't hurt for BYU to beat UNLV just in case. Either way, as long as New Mexico wins, it means the MWC is likely only a 3 bid league, saving a bid for someone else.

ETA: The Big 10 games are big too. Wisconsin and Michigan State SHOULD beat Illinois and Minnesota. If they do, those two teams are done. I don't see why either are still on the bubble either, but just in case it would be good to see both of them booted from the bubble discussion today.

Wake is definitely in. 19-10 record aside, they have two-sub 100 losses, both to Miami.

that was funny. He was disecting the bubble and said Florida was in and then an hour later in another edition of the same segment, he said they were out.

Of course we have to do our part regardless, and I'm not feeling good about that, but we're not getting any help on the bubble this afternoon.

doesn't qualify for terrible. They have to win the tournament to get a bid, and #'s 1-3 are still in right now. Rhode Island winning hurts, but was expected. Illinois...that's terrible.

is Minnesota downing Michigan State. They may pass us in the committee's eyes. 'Course, they and Illinois both have worse records, equivalent conference records, and worse RPI's, so we have that going for us.
Honestly, comparing the two I'm not sure how Minnesota doesn't get in before Illinois. The marquee wins are about the same, and Minnesota has a better Top 50 record, plus won the only head-to-head meeting.

there's no chance of them getting an at-large. Also UNLV is virtually a lock for an at-large, and doesn't really figure into bubble discussion.
