RE: Mullen new MSU coach

I'm not that impressed, but then again this is MSU we are talking about. Let's be real here, with the athletes Florida recruits even a defensive minded coach would look good.

There is nothing other than his association with UF to suggest this guy is going to be a super head coach. So, no, I wouldn't have wanted him at AU

an offensive coordinator running the head coach's offense at a school with the best talent and talent pipeline in the nation. . . .

. . . MSU had the money and opportunity to upgrade from Croom, but I'm not sure if they even did as good as Croom.

Please, they are interviewing Patrick Nix, and other high school coaches.....do they honestly think they will do better than Tubs?

well played. I would take DanMullen over any one on Aub list. Pat Nix, Dooley, Gill. None of those are good enough to drive Tubs truck. GB = Good

after Petrino-gate in 2003 (one year ahead of an undefeated season), and after getting rid of a coach as good as Tuberville, I just don't think many coaches are going to be jumping at the chance to go there.

My guess is they have to settle for a 2nd rate coach, which will be great for both of us.

Exactly. They'll be lucky to get Dooley. After the Tubberville fiascos, I wouldn't touch the Plains with a ten-foot pole if I was a good coach with a future.
