I wondered the whole time what were the odds there was a third party involved? Does this girl have a dad?

1. How could a 3rd person be involved? It'd be kind of hard to kill a guy right in front of a sheriff's deputy without him even knowing you were there.

2. This report is from a grand jury (i.e. the same random people that get put on juries).

3. Accidental shooting is a pretty easy conclusion to come to rather than suicide. Lots of suicides get officially classified as accidental deaths just because there doesn't seem to be any reason to put the family through the additional grief.

4. That said, accidental shootings (especially while moving loaded guns) aren't exactly rare and this could very easily be what happened here.

But if I were going to put together a black-helicopter theory, here's how it would go: The girl's dad calls up the deputy (say they probably know each other) and says I'm tired of this black dude messing around with my daughter. Next time he comes over I'm goin to call you and get some help. So, Billy Joe comes over, dad runs him off and calls the deputy. Deputy waits for him and pulls him over after "running a redlight". Dad shows up, says just give me a minute with him to rough him up a little. Deputy says OK, turns around and goes to his car. 10 seconds later, BOOM. He turns around, Daddy just shot him. Daddy lays the gun down, walks back to his truck, passes the deputy along the way and says "what you gonna do now? You're an accomplice."

seriously thought that's what happened. It made something Oliver Stone would come up with look tame.

you'd have to have the coroner in on it too. If Billy Joe killed himself (accidentally or not), then there would most likely be powder residue on his hands.

Gets up something after 4 AM takes a shower and goes to see her(sounds like an obsession)...then all this **** happens.

Sometimes **** just happens. Sad deal for all.

Too many things to snag the trigger on and too cramped to handle it safely. I know of more than two people who have dischared long guns inside of their trucks.

the sheriff would be able to rat out the daddy on the charge of murder for immunity in the case.

not if he had his hands on the barrel. not even if he pulled the trigger. GSR is a very inexact forensic science because there are numerous variables that skew results both ways.

It happens all the time. A good friend of mine was killed a couple of months ago in a hunting accident when his gun accidentally discharged.
