Coach, you were wondering which accusation?

From: Bracky Brett <Redacted>

To: REDACTED <<[email protected]>

REDACTED,

As you are no doubt aware, Mississippi State monitors message boards continually in an attempt to get the jump on rumors, most of which turn out to be false. However, there can be no doubt that a percentage of what you see begin as an online rumor can turn into fact very quickly. Further, even if the rumor is not verified, just seeing it online can become fodder for various blogs and legitimate news agencies to attempt to invesitigate.

To that end, there is a post on your board this morning that refers to Coach Rick Stansbury as "2nd biggest buyer of players in SEC basketball" (http://sixpackspeak.yuku.com/sreply/185847). Furthermore, this is not the first time this poster has made reference to Coach Stansbury in such terms. We would like to speak with this individual immediately to determine what information, if any he has, and to put down these accusations. As you well know, at no time in his tenure has Mississippi State been accused of violating NCAA rules regarding extra benefits for scholarship athletes. If you are aware of this person's identity, please email me with his contact information.

Finally, considering the recent promotion run by the Bulldog Club in conjuction with your message board, we are disappointed with the fact that you would allow the disparaging of our program in this manner. We understand that people will criticize our coaches and players, justly or not, but for anyone to accuse Mississippi State of outright buying players is outrageous. We understand that you are not an official "mouthpiece" of the University, nor do you wish to be, but we ask that you help us in some small way with this type of rumor mongering going forward.

Thank you for your time this morning, and again, please relay that information to me if you or any of your members have it.

I totally understand if anyone who has this info is unwilling or uneasy about sharing their own personal info with the MSU compliance office, so if you wish, you can forward that info to myself or DS and we will handle it, MSU already knows who we are.

WOW...So Coach...what do you do.
Show how big of a liar and idiot you are once again with lies..
Or do you somehow cause the downfall of MSU basketball and Rick Stansbury by turning in the program if you actually know anything at all.

"we are disappointed in your message board given the recent Bulldog Club promotion" card, did it?

Let this be a lesson, DS.

Rescind the Bulldog club offer, and lets go back to rumormongering. It's more fun, even if Coach is a monster douchebag.

No ****. What exactly did y'all gain from the promotion with the BC? It seemed to me that you were doing them a favor by encouraging people on this board to join because you are Mississippi State fans and want to do whatever to help. The fact that they use your favor to act like they have some kind of power to censor the board is complete ********...unless I have a poor understanding of the promotion deal.

A buyout is different than having the AD constantly look over the figurative shoulder of each poster. What it amounts to right now is that via the Bulldog Club deal, the AD and bracky get to throw a little weight around what gets posted, which may or may not prohibit some quality rumors coming out.

My first post as RR here was confirming Hansbrough to ND, via a conversation I had with him. If I were to make that post today, would Bracky or Gregg Ellis want to know where I got my info and email you or DS requesting said info? I know it's different than Coach suggesting Stans buys players, but it's a slippery slope. If you're going to sellout to MSU, do it 100%, don't just let them have somewhat of a presence here but still try to encourage rumors, rumblings, and such.

He just wanted to use his position to call out Coach34 on one of his typical anti-Stans comments. It's a hell of a way to do it. Either put up or shut up, coach.

you take the "integrity" of this board far too seriously. You can't really be upset they are trying to prevent people from denigrating our coach.

It's one thing to post that a player is going to transfer, it's a whole different thing to post a completely unsubstantiated rumor that our head basketball is committing major NCAA violations. I suspect the Sixpack may have gotten a similar e-mail regardless of the Bulldog Club promotion.

You asked us to help you out and now you want to ***** at us. You have bitten off more than you can chew messing with the six-pack. So you are going to rat out our program for paying a few college kids. Wake up this is the SEC, it happens. I am sure we have bought players in the past like all other SEC schools. I was at state from 87-91 and I personally saw it happen with football players after a game. Thanks

I think MSU has every right to ask for information concerning the validity of "Coach 34" ' statement about our basketball coach. It really has nothing to do with the promotion. It has to do with people making very damaging remarks concerning our basketball coach and our basketball program. This is not the same as critisizing coaching methods or player selection--it is asking for trouble . I think that Brecky had every right to make his request and I also think that the poster in question should be banned.

If you dont like me saying this then you can ban me too. After all, I dont have 5000 posts so I cant be very good, right?

What kind of dipshit fan would start rumors about their OWN coach committing violations? Transfer rumors yes. Cheating rumors...uh no.
