I complained about the tents 2 weeks ago
And I completely agree with you.
Those are general admission areas. Therefore, it should be on a first come first serve basis unless otherwise noted by the university. The people set up tents and seem to feel they can lay claim to that particular area for the weekend.
I also hate to complain, but I do agree with you on this one.

I bought 4 tickets, but literally could not see the game from anywhere.
I had had a decent spot to stand by the gravel walkway in right field but couldn't see the field due to the tents.
kinda feel like I should ask for my money back.
I realize it's a 2-3 time per year problem but still...I bought a ticket and had no where to see the game from.

I bought 5 tickets for me, wife and 3 kids, walked around for 40 minutes and could not find anywhere to sit or stand(for the 5 of us) and left. There should be a refund when no seating/standing room available. Overall a bad experience and yes, I should have known better so save it. I will not be apart of a recod breaking experience again until stadium holds more.
You ever think about getting to the game a little early when they are expecting 15k+? I know it's easier to show up in the top of the 2nd and complain about nowhere to sit.
I got there in the 2nd inning and literally could see the game from about 60 different spots. I walked all over the stadium and had no problem seeing the game.

I got there at 2:00, not top of the second(where did I indicate I got there after it started?)after leaving the football game early so yeah I thought of it. You missed the point though. It was great to set records and overall it's no big deal I'm just saying my day was less than stellar for having wasted the money. We need a bigger stadium with more grandstands has never been more obvious.
