Remember when Turner Gill was obviously the right hire for NU if they didn't go with Pelini? Remember when we should have tried to see if we could get them both?

Former NU QB, coaches at a small school and makes some hay, so of course if he could do that there just imagine how amazeballs he'd be in Lincoln...

Waiting for all the coach-speak. What's he supposed to say?

Member berries....

I have a feeling he could beat NIU coaching here. As could most coaches.

I am sure he will use the usual coach speak of unfinished business and long term goal at UCF.

I wonder if he remembers being booed in the Central Florida game? Kind of ironic.

The one where he/we beat Daunte Culpepper. The UCF huddle was funny to watch. That dude was bigger than his O linemen.

Maybe small in the realm of college football, but UCF is not a "small school".

I just watched the 1997 UCF game again last week. Frost was playing fine in that game. Though Nebraska did have to punt of their 1st 2 possessions. Late in the 1st /early in the 2nd quarter Frost led the team down for a TD. UCF gets the ball back a goes down to get a FG to take the lead at 10-7. London had a planned series in the 2nd quarter (TO even said so before the game) and lead the team down the field and scored on a TD run. I'm pretty sure the fans were booing the fact that London didn't get the next possession too, but it was Osborne's plan to get him reps no matter what before the game because London had very little game experience.

I was there. The crowd was booing Frost, all the experts in the crowd knew London should be playing.

For all of us that were there, remember.

Byrne made it about $$$. He can kiss my American Indian (&*

Something was wrong, even back then. No BS

Bingo.

We see the Frost before the Frost. Scott was my guy, and he couldn't throw for shite.

London deserves a place in Husker history for being the best QB Dr. Tom never had to use to win a National Title.

Full quote from Frost about Nebraska:

“It’s flattering to have your name mentioned, but I say this all the time: I have 130 some guys on this team that are sweating, and bleeding, and working hard for me. And it would be a huge disservice for me to get distracted,” Frost said. “I’m just going to ignore it. I want everyone in our building to ignore those types of things. I’m expecting a baby in November, and I just got to Orlando, so I feel like we have some unfinished business down here.”

If Frost couldn't care less about going back to Nebraska like some people try to claim, he wouldn't be distracted.

Bottom line, Scott Frost will be just fine if he never makes it back to Lincoln to be the HC, doubt if he'd lose any sleep over it.

Regular people are loyal to their universities. Athletes who play for a university are extra loyal, and athletes who win a national title at a university in the more powerful sport in sports are insanely loyal. He may have gone to stanford but that just shows he had to ambition and intelligence to go where he thought was best, he also returned and became great. He is coming back if our AD doesn't screw it up.

hellva interview, Rome does what Rome does and Scott Frost is a good coach, says all the right things and will be a big time coach in a big time program in the near future. I would love to see him come home but I doubt it is going happen, he loses a couple of games and the haters are going to hate and they are going to want someone else, just like when TO started here, he doesn't want or need that. did you all hear him say I don't have to leave the state of florida to find any players it's a hotbed for recruits. good luck to him.

I have not heard Rome in a long time but I always thought he did a great job with interviews.

Central Florida has largest enrollment of Florida universities with an enrollment of over 60000...i get you general comment, however since the program is not P5.

Every fanbase has those nutty ones that want a coach fired after any loss. Even Bama has those nutty fans.
