Former Nebraska football coach Scott Frost sues NU over contract dispute
Former Nebraska football coach Scott Frost has filed a lawsuit against NU over money he believes he's still owed by the school that fired him.
Kinda like the clap and the QAnon troll. The gift that keeps on giving… Or won’t go away.![]()
shoot if your employer or my mine reported to the IRS income that was never received I would be pissed and sue as well.
From my understanding Nebraska apparently reported income would be owed to him for the 2025 and 2026 portions of his buyout as taxable income in 2022. Then, they didn't pay him that income because he got the UCF job. So he paid taxes but never got the money for those 2 years.
You sucked so bad at your Alma Mater, your home state, that your loser *** would go back to get more hazard pay because your sorry *** didn't enough on the exit clause after bleeding your Alma Mater dry?
Damn. Have at it Scott. Ruin anything or possibly anybody that would ever treat you with a kind smile in this state.
NU did wrong by inflating astronomically the W2. Apparently they're not correcting their mistake. I would sue as well. I'm cheering on Scott and hope he does well down in UCF. I hope the naysayers would forgive him as they would desire to be forgiven for their actions.
This kind of thing is above my pay grade, but I would sue, too. I have a good friend who is a Nebraska native, born and bred, who is a very successful tax lawyer. I will ask him what he thinks. (He's one of my old Huskers friends that I wrote about earlier this week who no longer shares the love of Husker football.). Back to Scott I could not care less if he finds success at UCF. Good for him if he does. I do think it is interesting that Scott, just like our current coach, can always turn back to that one magical season when all the stars aligned perfectly for their team.NU did wrong by inflating astronomically the W2. I feel like when you make that much money you are not using Turbo Tax.can’t one file an amended return? This is the only avenue? Someone overpays the irs. Someone else makes that whole and the irs over collects?
How would his tax accountant allowed him to pay taxes on income he hadn't yet received? Why wouldn't those taxes be paid in the year the money was received?shoot if your employer or my mine reported to the IRS income that was never received I would be pissed and sue as well.

It’s a royal pain in the a55. The IRS nightmare alone is worthy of a lawsuit.can’t one file an amended return? This is the only avenue? Someone overpays the irs. Someone else makes that whole and the irs over collects?
Undoubtedly some over promoted accountant or attorney at NU is dragging their heels (probably “working” from home) which necessitated the legal action to get them to fulfill their duties.I feel like when you make that much money you are not using Turbo Tax.
I kid, I kid, you are probably right but maybe the issue is that UNL has to file something too?
Uggggg, I can't tell if you are messing with me or not! HaUndoubtedly some over promoted accountant or attorney at NU is dragging their heels (probably “working” from home) which necessitated the legal action to get them to fulfill their duties.
Two weeks? More like 5 years. My wife is in a University dean job. She has some interesting “work from home” stories abut people she supervised (fired) and others applying for jobs. Zoom interviews lol.Uggggg, I can't tell if you are messing with me or not! Ha
But, 100% if that guy is "working from home" he has already been checked out of Christmas for the last two weeks.
From what I read he is asking for an additional 5 million for emotional damages or some bs. He should get the correct forms and Nebraska should fire the staffer who bungled all this.Seems like he tried to get Nebraska to adjust the tax form. They wouldn’t. So h e is asking for the income for which he has taxes due on. I bet if NU amends the form, the suit goes away. At least that’s how I read it?
We have neighbors down the street who the husband is English and the wife is Australian. This is their second home. He is a retired IT guy and now teaching some business class remotely for Northeastern University in Boston. They did live in Seattle, but last year moved to the wife’s hometown north of Sidney. He only seems to meet with his class once per term and it is usually in Europe. He’s been here when he is suppose to be teaching. I don’t know how hard he has to work because he always seems to be out doing things and not sitting in front of a computer. Two weeks? More like 5 years. My wife is in a University dean job. She has some interesting “work from home” stories abut people she supervised (fired) and others applying for jobs. Zoom interviews lol.
The proof is in the pudding as they say. In 8 seasons as a head coach he has 1 of them with a winning record (though went 12-0 which is impressive) His abilities cap out at lower level conference AAC he was terrible vs the Big Ten and the Big 12 competition stomped him this year too. This kind of thing is above my pay grade, but I would sue, too. I have a good friend who is a Nebraska native, born and bred, who is a very successful tax lawyer. I will ask him what he thinks. They are the biggest babies! And all they do is try to convince people how they are MORE productive because they work from home! Two weeks? More like 5 years. My wife is in a University dean job. That’s not in the American Bible.NU did wrong by inflating astronomically the W2. Apparently they're not correcting their mistake. I would sue as well. HoaxNU could always threaten to leak the Frost files.
So if your lawyer pulled you aside and said you just lost 1.7 million because of a mistake by the accounting department at Nebraska(Nebraska admin is known for being criminally terrible), you would just let it slide because things didn't work out? At least we don't have to worry about Scott coming back to be OC.You sucked so bad at your Alma Mater, your home state, that your loser *** would go back to get more hazard pay because your sorry *** didn't enough on the exit clause after bleeding your Alma Mater dry?

Of course, we love Scott Frost the player. But it's kind of hard to forgive him for the complete lack of effort in coaching. Anyone on this board, and I mean anyone, should be able to coach NU and get better results than he did. It was a pathetic attempt on his part. It's like he was here just to cash checks. Unforgivable.I actually have the ability to separate the two. I still love Scott Frost the player for what he did for Nebraska.
Scott Frost the coach can kick rocks! He sucked and was the worst Nebraska coach I've ever witnessed in my 40+ years of watching them. He was a disgrace and never even put the whole work in to be great. Ill never forgive him (the coach) for that.
Probably sounds crazy but I actually feel that way.
Holla
It was all the AD's fault.Of course, we love Scott Frost the player. But it's kind of hard to forgive him for the complete lack of effort in coaching. Being more productive from home is about as big of a con as all the best business gets done on the golf course…They are the biggest babies! And all they do is try to convince people how they are MORE productive because they work from home!
STOP
Our administration continues to be trash.![]()
