I can only imagine how many useless positions there are at UNL and all universities. People that they don't need and/or have no business working there. Our administration continues to be trash.

That money goes just as fast for idiot coaches as athletes or rappers. He probably has three houses for his wife in different places, he lived for years without anybody in his family working, and I am sure he wasn't cutting any corners in expenses. And he doesn't look like he is taking decent care of himself, so he probably drinking a lot of it away. He is still relatively young, looks completely defeated, and is looking at being jobless in a few years. Oh and his wife is going to take half of it when he "retires" and is home all the time. He obviously should have cleaned himself up, went and coached as a position coach at a big school, then OC, and scaffold back into the big job when he is ready. He learned nothing from his failure at NU and just threw himself back into the fire.If I made as much money as that asshat did to lose at Nebraska, I wouldn't come back for anything.
It is a true show of his character
And didn't Rhule sue Carolina as they were trying to withhold money from their contract like NU is doing to Frost? He has every right to equal what the contract stated. I think he is a fine coach will do well down in UCF country. I believe he tried his best in Lincoln but its so difficult to fight a nasty fan base who are negative at every turn as he had in Nebraska. See how Cignetti straightened out a loser fan base...I mean, a contract is a contract. If NU ****** up, they should pay.
I disagree whole heartily about SF tried his best during his time in Lincoln. And didn't Rhule sue Carolina as they were trying to withhold money from their contract like NU is doing to Frost? NU is probably in the wrong here, but it's not because they tried to withhold any money. And didn't Rhule sue Carolina as they were trying to withhold money from their contract like NU is doing to Frost? Being more productive from home is about as big of a con as all the best business gets done on the golf course…
My brother was a commission sales rep for Veritiv, a paper, shipping and packaging company. In addition to the regular product he sold he did very well during Covid selling masks, gloves, rubber boots, disposable paper clothes, etc. all that PPE stuff. (He sold large quantities, truckloads, no small shipments). During the Covid scare his co-workers in sales did not go to the office for a very long time. The warehouse crew still had to go to work and my brother liked to work closely with them. The first time my brother finally sees his manager back in the office he says his manager is acting all excited and happy to see everyone. My brother said he looked at him in disgust and said, "I missed one week, one week!". His manager was stunned. Now, my brother did not spend most of his time in the office, but he spent enough time there. He was still calling on his customers every week, and he was still making calls and coordinating deliveries from his home office too (As he always has done). His incentive for working hard was making lots of money and he was going to retire soon. I forget how many miles he put on his car, but it was a lot. That is such a good comparison!
The work from homers would have believe that because they work from home they are doing MORE for the company. Stop, just stop it.
I worked from home for two month when covid was a thing and I can tell you that I was not "more productive". I sure as heck did more for myself, that much is true!
The golf course part is the same. Look, if you are golfing for business, that "deal" was already closed because you needed to be on the golf course.
well,Of course, we love Scott Frost the player. But it's kind of hard to forgive him for the complete lack of effort in coaching. Anyone on this board, and I mean anyone, should be able to coach NU and get better results than he did. It was a pathetic attempt on his part. It's like he was here just to cash checks. Unforgivable.
That's the understanding I got from reading about this story although I just skimmed it. Sounds like somebody from NU is a tremendous dumb ***. NU will be lucky if they don't have to pay extra to Frost just for incompetence.shoot if your employer or my mine reported to the IRS income that was never received I would be pissed and sue as well.
From my understanding Nebraska apparently reported income would be owed to him for the 2025 and 2026 portions of his buyout as taxable income in 2022. Then, they didn't pay him that income because he got the UCF job. So he paid taxes but never got the money for those 2 years.
so it's an accounting error.. big deal.. it doesn't warrant a multi-million dollar lawsuitshoot if your employer or my mine reported to the IRS income that was never received I would be pissed and sue as well.

Do you prefer the shaft or the balls? And didn't Rhule sue Carolina as they were trying to withhold money from their contract like NU is doing to Frost? Is UCF going bowling this year?NU did wrong by inflating astronomically the W2. Apparently they're not correcting their mistake. I would sue as well. I'm cheering on Scott and hope he does well down in UCF. I hope the naysayers would forgive him as they would desire to be forgiven for their actions.
So, basically thirty-seven fifty ($37.50) for a bite size three musketeers. Got it.Here is a link to the complaint: Scott Frost complaint
The main point of the complaint is that Nebraska is wrongfully withholding the portion of his buyout that is due to him for the years 2025 and 2026 - which is $2.5 million for each year, for a total of $5 million. Nebraska's position is that it is entitled to offset the money it owes him for those years by the amount of the salary he will receive from UCF in each of those years under an offset provision included in his initial contract. Frost's position is that the offset provision applied only to the initial term of the contract, which ended on December 31, 2024, and not to the two years added to the contract in 2019 (2025 and 2026). He bases that on the fact that the original contract stated that the offset provision applied to the term of that contract, and neither the December 2019 addendum extending his contract nor the November 2021 addendum increasing his salary states that the offset provision applies to 2025 and 2026. In other words, his position is that the offset provision in the original contract expired on December 31, 2024, and there is no offset provision applicable to 2025 and 2026.
As for the inflated 2022 W-2 form given to him by Nebraska, it looks like Frost initially paid taxes on the full amount, which resulted in an overpayment of $1.72 million. But the complaint states that he later filed an amended tax return for 2022 reporting the actual wages received from Nebraska ($4,873,228), as opposed to the entire amount reported by the University on his W-2 ($9,519,853). The complaint states that the IRS conducted an audit of his 2022 tax return and ultimately agreed with his position that the amount on the W-2 issued by the University was incorrect and determined that only $4,873,228 should be treated as actual wages for the 2022 tax period. Presumably, the IRS refunded the $1.72 million that he overpaid because he is not seeking payment from Nebraska for that amount.
The way I read the complaint, the only money he is seeking from Nebraska is the full amount of his buyout for years 2025 and 2026, which is a total of $5 million. He mentions the 2022 W-2 form in his complaint because it is evidence that Nebraska never intended the offset provision to apply to 2025 and 2026 because the form included his full buyout for those years.
True dat.So if your lawyer pulled you aside and said you just lost 1.7 million because of a mistake by the accounting department at Nebraska(Nebraska admin is known for being criminally terrible), you would just let it slide because things didn't work out? At least we don't have to worry about Scott coming back to be OC.
Rhule and his supporters allude to his third season at Baylor when he went 10-3 and beat no ranked teams.Curious which is that one magical season for our current coach?
Obviously, Frost had the one in 2017 where they went 13-0 beating 3 ranked teams in the process.
Which one do you consider to be Rhule's?
