Frustration - had we won two of the SEC games we lost, we would be the 2 seed.

Several good candidates there. UGA certainly should have been a win. At five win Auburn should have been a win, at LSU with the lead we had should have been a win. Losing at Bud Walton looks worse every day.

Oh well, it is what it is. Funny that we did well enough against the upper part of the league to win the tiebreakers but in typical Bulldog fashion we allowed the bottom of the league to kill us.

we were never in the Auburn game to even care.

How does losing at Bud Walton look bad? Michigan lost at Bud Walton around the same time.

totally different than it does.

I disagree with DS about Auburn... even though we were never really "in the game (which there were several times we cut the lead to 3 in the second half)," there were plenty of steps we could have taken to ensure we picked up a win... especially after 2 heartbreaking overtime losses. I wanted us to go in there with a fire under our *** and play our hearts out... which we didn't. At that point, had we won at Auburn (or UGA, or LSU...), losing to Kentucky and Bama would not have hurt near as bad and we'd essentially be a lock for the NCAAT right now. Not to mention winning 2 of those 3...

Also, Arkansas only has a few losses at home this year... they ran us out of the gym... that's the game I'd say we were never really in.

Probably a 7-9 seed in the NCAAs -assuming we ended up an 11 or 12.

We need to knock off UGA and then bow out. A deep run in NOLAis only going to hurt our chances in the NCAA.

you are what your record is and that's where we are. Yes, we had every chance in the world to beat GA at home and LSU on the road but it didn't happen. We SHOULD have beaten Auburn and Arkansas on the road but we didn't even play well enough to put ourselve IN POSITION to win those games at the end much less actually win them. And for all the what ifs on the GA and LSU games that we LOST what about the OT WINS AT Vandy and AT SC, we could have easily lost either or both of those games. And that doesn't even talk about the close shaves at home against TN, AL, Aub and LSU. Those games all came down to the wire and we won ALL of them. When all is said and done we are probably somewhat fortunate to be where we are at 8-8. We've definitely won more close games at the end than we've lost. I believe we can all agree though that we certainly didn't play at the level through most of the conference schedule that most of us feel we were capable of even BEFORE the 5 game losing streak. I don't know where that team that played Arkansas this past Saturday has been all year.
