Geenie Weenie said on the Miserychant post game call in show that he thinks Norvell will get bounced after we get blown out in 2 weeks at Alabama. I hope he's right but I doubt he is. We poor. We can't afford to get rid of him.

Crazy how much more Oregon State was able to get out of DJU than FSU.

OSU had an insane O line though.

Edit: It should be noted that FSU/Norvell asks a lot more out of QB's/make more difficult throws than Smith/OSU did. OSU was built around mauler o-line, run first, and then use play action/50-50 deep balls. I just don't think DJU was cut out for that.

A quality OL always helps. FSU has had maybe 3 years with good OL play this century. Maybe we should prioritize that segment of the game.

In addition to the OL, the Oregon State coaches must have simplified his reads. He was ultra slow at processing but he was light years faster than the current FSU qb.

They did, I did an edit shortly after posting. I think DJU and FSU were just a bad fit for each other. I know the writing was on the wall for Aiden Chiles to follow Smith to MSU after the collapse of the PAC12, but DJU should have gone to a program with a similar offense. I think practice squad is about his ceiling in the NFL.

And we're paying this guy over $10M a year through 2031.

The AD should be fired.
I mean.. yes, but also he was extended right after he went 13-0. If you got a coach you lock that up right? 23-4 in 2 consecutive seasons is really good.

I don't think the AD or fans could have predicted going 8-18 since.

He’ll wait to get fired and collect the full amount, and at that point Jimmy Sexton will let us know who our next coach is going to be.
Ya we’re talking about $40 million dollars right?

That’s his money.

We are a really bad football team. Just like the last two years. And it is inexcusable and due to Mike’s inability to recruit and evaluate talent coupled with terrible mismanagement of NIL money …buying too many players of one position and not worrying about others.

The most egregious error is the fact three years in a row we went cheap on QB. In fact, one could argue each year he got a worse and cheaper QB with worse statistics when all the evidence he should have from his own success at FSU and other program successes is you need a legit QB and you need to spend many millions. DJU was an odd pick because he was not a dual threat type and boy does Mike need one. TC was an odd pick because we needed after 24 a legit established QB. Daniels though is just a horrible and pathetic choice and malpractice-a proven loser with inaccurate and weak arm who processes slower than DJU did and runs ok but still is not elusively and has pocket sense like true dual threats have.

So for three years now we can’t throw down the field and opponents simply need to focus on stacking the box.

Since the Ga Tech loss in Dublin it’s been Groundhog Day for 2.2 seasons now of a terrible offense that can’t pass coupled with a terrible defense that can’t get off the field on third down. And we have lost every close game. We only beat cream puffs and Alabama. Everyone else simply outplays and coaches us.

Tony White should be fired this week. Credit for getting the three turnovers but SMU should have put another 24 points on us and scored 52. We will be 2-5 after being humiliated by Miami and I think finally we will be rid of Norvell then. I guess that is the only silver lining really. SMU crapped the bed they almost gave Mike a big win to try to save his job another year. But he is so freakin bad he still could not beat them.

Losing to scUM will suck, BUT the next day will be glorious when we can finally say good riddens to Norvell!

JT really is the greatest QB in FSU history...to mask Novell's horrible everything is a feat like no other.
