This is probably one of the best stories I've heard all year. I always like hearing things like this. The media runs with FSU's run ins with the law, but hopefully they'll pick up on this one too...

but I promise you.....I think I remember a similar situation with the Rhodes Scholar interview with an Ole Miss player back in the '70's? Maybe the early 80's? I am too lazy to Google something like that right now, but it sure seemed to fire a previously dead neuron.

Anybody have any ideas or memories about this?

I know he earned a Rhodes Scholarship but ended up not going over there to study. Forget the reason why he didn't go. Anyway, that would've been early 80's I think.
