With today’s win at Wisconsin, RU put me back into watching other college matchups. Not just Big Ten, but any games featuring teams likely to make the big dance.

These late-season contests leading up to March Madness are always exciting, and now they’re even more fun knowing Rutgers is in the mix.

Many thanks to the players and coaches for giving this fan so much to cheer for.

Can’t help but think of Billy Cunningham every time I see your screen name haha

That’s understandable. He’s 15 years older than me, but we’re both from Brooklyn, both known as Billy C, and ever since he retired we’ve had identical stats.
Where in Brooklyn are you from ? I grew up in Bensonhurst.

I totally feel the same way. Couldn’t watch any college bball this week after the Nebraska game. Caught a lot of movies though…

Exactly. After the loss to Nebraska I was temporarily in a funk, with no interest in other games. This win gave me back my college bball fan mojo.

Same here, 70th Street between 14th and 15th Avenue. Went to PS 112 and then Our Lady of Guadalupe, before we moved to NJ.
No **** ! We’re practically neighbors. You grew up right by the B train and Satellite Park. Lol. Knew OLG very well ! I grew up near New Utrecht High School. We were just in Brooklyn not to long ago around Christmas and had dinner at Garguglios in Coney Island. Then took my youngest son and his girlfriend to Dyker Heights for them to see all the Christmas lights / decorations etc. !

Small world Phil. I remember the elevated train near New Utrecht HS (which later was part of the opening to Welcome Back Cotter). My sister went back to see our old brownstone that my grandmother sold for 50k when we moved to NJ, and now it’s worth 1.2 million. First time I ever played “knock-hockey” was on a table in Dyker Park.

The real estate values in our old
neighborhood are insane and have been for many years !
Welcome back Kotter ! Lol. Yep that’s New Uthrecht HS. Lol
Growing up in Brooklyn and better yet Bensonhurst in the 70s / early 80s etc was a special great fun time ! Would never give it up for anything !

I'm the same way - I tend to hibernate after losses, especially bad losses, like NE, and I go way overboard consuming everything hoops related after a win. I'm not well, lol.
