Japan's Isolation period is fascinating history but I've never taken the time to study up on it much. How a Culture produced the mindset of those WWII soldiers sounds almost unimaginable to me. I remember seeing those disaster clips where no looting or police needed to prevent theft and thought "WOW". Amazingly Unique Culture they are.
