I will say this from what I heard from people at the GW game RR came out swinging.

Galax played as sloppy and uninspired first half as I've seen them play in a while. They fumbled twice and RR scored TD's both times. They just looked uninspired and RR came to play. The second half was a different story, Galax pretty well shut them down only letting them score once and Galax put 4 TD's up. Galax dominated the second half but still didn't look near as crisp as they did in their first two games but they finally got a win.

Next Friday night should be a good game if GW shows up and plays if not it might get like the Radford game I hope not.

If Galax plays like they did in the first half against RR it will get ugly but it will be in GW's favor.

Rural Retreat gave it their best effort and played with a lot of heart. The Indians were leading Galax at halftime. However, they just did not have an answer for Galax players' #6 and #44. Those two were the difference makers in the game.

RR did play hard and played with a lot of heart but on the other side of the ball Galax played sloppy and uninspired. Their line wasn't coming off of the ball to create holes like they normally do and when they did the backs were not hitting the holes. Players going the wrong way on plays and two fumbles. As sloppy and uninspired half as I've seen them play, but I also believe RR is a better team than they're giving credit for. If RR plays like they did last night they might just surprise some people.

I think the game between GW and RR will be a lot better than most are saying.

A lot of people doubting RR after loss to Bland but Bland could be in for a good season. RR will surprise the HOGO. They will have about 3 tough games to get through. GW, Northwood and PH Glade Springs. Went and watched the GW vs Marion game and GW played a lot better than they did against Radford. Using their heads on some plays and defense looked a little better up front. Pass D will still need some help. Will be a good season. Hopefully we can pull out the W against Galax and go down and give Honaker a good game like 2012 state game.
