I think you partially answered the question; the success in other sports drives many kids to specialize in the sport they are successful at. They may begin the year playing football; but, when it gets hard, when they aren't being successful, or it closer to another season; they don't want to risk getting injured to compete in the other sports.

I agree. I saw it last year at another school.

I heard today that Auburn was sending their JV/8th-9th grade team over to play Giles next week. Giles even scheduled it for Friday night at 7 under the lights. Glad to see Auburn is at least trying to keep the future of the program afloat.
