We're working on being Alabama's Washington Generals
I mean.....men are traditionally in suits for funerals so.....
I dunno. Maybe it is personnel but I’ve always considered lack of effort coming from what is allowed/accepted by the coach. I feel like the effort issue would have been solved early on by benchings and taking control of the locker room.
The coach that already took Alabama to the final four and has had really good teams the last 4-5 years can’t win a title? I think that’s bold to say just because of his style

Oats has 4 SEC titles a #1 seed, an elite 8 and final four since 2020. At Alabama.
If I were looking at making "Sling Blade Two", i would be up there recruiting in the alabama student section.

10 threes at the half is devasting, but it has been back breaking thanks to our poor play in most categories.
If the IU and St. John's games are prescient, we will win by 3 after we outscore Bama by 19 in the half.
The strength of this team is grit, determination, rebounding, defense, and being physical.
Alabama has displayed all of these qualities, but not Kentucky.
Its clear that Pope is going to have to show some serious growth as a coach.
First, I'm never a fan of hiring coaches who couldn't cut but were either your mentor or friend. You bring in coaches at Kentucky that are aspiring to be head coaches as a P5, not were chased off or would be an assistant in the Sun conference if not for their connection.
Second, you can recruit to the offense or you can adapt to the strengths of the team you ended up with, but you can't play an offense your team isn't built for
And finally, by December 10th, you commit to the best rotation and stick with it. Granted Lowe and JQ were question marks but all we've really seen is Noah ride the bench. The mass substitutions and going 9-10 players deep is a commitment to NIL promises, not playing the best team.
That said, cut it to single digits by the 10 minute mark and see what happens.

Oweh's only 2 misses from 2 are off wide open layups. If he made those and had a bit more offensive support, he'd be on his way to a legendary performance
