It’s hard to get up for games like this at times when you feel like it’s a win just by stepping on the court .

Also doesn’t help that our laziness got them back in the game so they are hitting some contested shots right now
The "on/off" mentality is unacceptable. Cal's teams did that, but never Pitino's.

Pope needs to light into them this time. Tonight is not a "gratitude night"/ "your impact on the universe and its significance night." Rip them to shreds at halftime for showing up like they'd rather be at Chuck E. Cheese playing ski ball.

Omg would everyone calm down. We got Louisville Friday. Everyone knows it. Including the players. Going thru the motions tonight. Wasn’t doing anything exceptional to get up 17-0 or whatever it was either. Colgate just missed all their shots. Relax. We can freak out and lose our **** if we’re playing bad against a big time team but a cupcake the game before a rivalry game doesent deserve a meltdown from the fans
Who is freaking out? I see no panic. Just folks saying we look like dog ****. And we do. Getting sick of all these "unicorn fart" posts that say we can't point out crap play.

We're gonna get destroyed by every team in the SEC with this effort and shooting.
False. We are without our top 2 PGs tonight but keep pretending we aren't.
The team is playing disjointed but guess why?
Because we are without Butler running the show.
Hopefully we pull away in the 2nd half but inder the circumstances Ill take a 1 pt win and hopefully get Butler back Sat v UL.

Not sure any of the freshmen can contribute before their Junior year. Not many guys stick around to ride the pine for 2 years anymore maybe Noah and Perry will being KY kids.

this is all on Pope taking his foot off the gas early and subbing thinking he was gonna just run all over someone....FACT.
Absolutely. There’s no question about it. He thought it was over at 17-0. He put in the scrubs and he kept them in for far too long.

On the bright side if he wanted to find out what he has on his bench, he just found out that Perry and Chandler are useless. These dudes cannot play against legit competition and Almanor should only see five minutes.

Dude if he can’t sub in the freshmen up 17-0 against freaking Colgate, when CAN he?

Can’t blame Pope for trying to get these guys some experience in light of recent injuries. But they have to at least perform a little bit. The effort from everyone not named Brea tonight is embarrassing.
Agree with that. I think it’s clear Perry and Chandler need more time in the incubator for now though. Give them no more than 3-4 minutes 2nd half. Rotation minutes need to be earned

I am reminded of the Georgia State game. They will win by 20+, but yeah they look awful right now.

Shooting is a concern.

I don’t dislike any UK players.

Some of them get on my nerves more than others:

1. Williams
2. That’s the list

It’s not about the fact that he subbed them in. The problem is that Colgate made a run and he kept them in.

Watched Duke do the same thing with Incarnate Word the other night in the first half. We’ll be fine the 2nd half. Some of yall cry too much.
Cream will come to the top, yes.
Our defensive effort hasn’t been there tonight, so far. We all know it and are surprised by it. We’ll play much harder in the second half …

So having Butler and Kriisa both out is not somewhat worrisome? Colgate is so bad we should be able to roll without any starters. Better get in sync fast or this one could get no so interesting
Still think that remains true. We were up 17-0 for a reason. Guys gotta be better second half

Couldn’t agree more. I said after first seeing him I was probably gonna have a love hate relationship with him and 9 games in I still stand by that

I agree with you but I’m not shocked a team that beat Gonzaga would take a 2-8 team lightly .

But after starting 17-0 it should have never been a game

Both our point guards are injured and the low major opponent suddenly can’t miss. A Rupp Arena tradition.

At least we have a coach who will make adjustments. We will still win by 20+.
I like Pope’s ability to make adjustments. It’s a huge breath of fresh air after the previous coach. I am a little concerned that the first half struggles are becoming such a trend though. As fun as the Duke and Gonzaga comebacks were, we aren’t going to be able to climb out of every hole we dig against good competition over the course of the season. Some faster starts wouldn’t hurt anything at this point.

You have to realize that they are bored to death not being able to talk about how we suck after games. Pretty much they're confined to watching the game and then going to bed after they've had their ba-ba.
