So, for me we are focused on perceived mismatches with Fisher and Rivera. The ball needs to move. Staton-McCray, Williams and Simpkins have to elevate their focus on offense. They are not playing well in these important home games as of yet.
They were ready
we are shooting 27% and they have more FTs made than we have attempted..that doesn’t have anything to do with being ready or not

Clark in foul trouble in the first half the last two home games. Just kills us. He may be more amped up for home games I don’t know but we are a different team without him. Parker turns the ball over too much as OG. Gotta keep Clark and Payne out of foul trouble and chip away now.
Also horrible call on that Payne foul at the end of the half. Payne has position and Creighton comes over the top. It wasn’t close. No way should Payne be called for that foul. He should have been shooting one and one. Terrible and obvious call.

Has zero to do with being “ready” to play

We have a low % because we are taking bad shots. We are taking bad shots because we are standing around not running an offense. We aren’t running an offense because we weren’t ready to play
Not going to win much in this conference when top 2 bigs get 2 fouls and your top ball handle/facilitator guy who sometimes can give you bail out offense has 2 fouls all in first half...if they get to any postseason event it will be a great feat

We’re just not as good as we thought, that’s what happens when you don’t recruit shooters for 5 years straight. We just recruit players who can’t do anything but be athletic. How can your 5’8 PG not shoot.

When I hear “masterclass” by a poster regarding McDermott I just laugh. He’s not doing anything special.
On defenses his guys stay at home, move their feet and don’t lose their man.
On offense they just wait for an open shot when one player gets double teamed.
His players make shots.
