There was no reason for the, to go 0-3, they looked like they quit. Just like Indiana. That UCONN team is way weaker than the last 2.

To be fair they probably should be but still they were #2 and defending champs! No excuses. Cope and Seethe Huskies. Couldn’t happen to a better fanbase.

Just going by memory, didn’t UNC take a huge hit a few years ago in the same manner? Came into the season ranked very high and had a terrible season?

Yep. The year after they made the FF and beat Duke. Came in Preseason No. 1 and didn't make the tourney. They gradually fell off the polls though. UConn might tumble out in less than a two weeks.

It just goes to show you.. no matter how good you might be as a coach, you need to have the right team. And not only talent at 7 or 8 players deep, but also the right mindsets. Uconn had pretty amazing teams the last two years, and a lot of those guys are gone.

Hurley might be more like the Hurley of his first years ar Uconn (a middling Big East team that didn't do much) as opposed to who he was the last 2 years. And his demeanor and attitude certainly deteriorate rather quick when things are going his way.

The amount of copium I’ve seen from UConn fans online this week has been great. Start of the championship dvd is a saying I’ve seen a lot from them. This isn’t a title team for them this year, and frankly they aren’t really close to one. Their defensive gameplan has always been to funnel guards into clignan and have him save them by blocking the shot. They don’t have that this year, so they are in trouble.

I think Marquette is the clear favorite in the Big East. In a tournament, I’m not sure I’d sleep on St. John’s.
