I’ll listen to My Old Kentucky Home while the archivist searches for a John Calipari coached Kentucky team to score 120+ and win by more than 70 points.

Still not sure that team defensively could stop anyone.
Not playing the funnel inside and rim protect half court D style. But playing a speed based perimeter deflections defense…they had plenty of defensive ability to speed the game up. (Basically what we will try to do this year with less athletic ability). Also think Wagner would have benefitted from a faster and more spread out game.

Also have to take in account that when you are putting that much offensive pressure on the opponent, you don’t have to be as efficient defensively bc teams have to also be just as offensively efficient as you for it to become a defensive every stop matters battle. There’s a reason why we got worse as the season went when the ex coach tried slowing it down a little and playing “better defensive lineups” bc “we can’t win giving up 70+”…. Play the lineup that will score 85+ and you’ll win more than you in lose. 95% of college teams don’t have a lineup that can keep up w that offensive efficiency. NBA-yes. College-No
