Great win. Props to Coach Pope rattling off our 4th win in a row despite the injuries including Williams tonight. Ailing CC gutted up and played great, OO, Moreno and DA were studs tonight too. Lets put down Ole Miss Saturday
It was nice not being down big at the half. Sure makes it easier.
Nice hard fought victory. 30 minutes was pretty good. Still gotta clean up the other 10. Free throws helped to make up for the scoring droughts
No field goals in last 5 minutes but managed to win on Aberdeen foul shots. How many wide open 14 footers did we pass up in both halves?

Oweh didn’t do much the second half I guess Texas put a good defensive player on him. Got tired of watching Aberdeen dribble and almost turned it over, but he bailed us out with his free throws.
Texas is a tourney team wity a couple of stud players. Wins over Bama and Vandy. Some folks can't be happy when we win because they want Pope gone.

Win that one and the UNC game in you're sitting at 15-4 and top 20 in the nation, despite the earlier season massacres.
Texas is a tournament team. So is Tennessee. A very winnable game coming up against Mississippi. Take care of business in that game and you're sitting with a solid SEC record at 5-2.

I’m glad we won, but we are too far in the season to be working on the things we are working on. Be a sunshine pumper if you must. I’m glad we pulled it out but no other coach in America puts Noah in like that, not a one. Too close of a game.
I work closely with several other power 4 teams and I can guarantee you the difference in the coaching staff’s presence between us and them is night and day. It’s a respect thing and an expectation and standard. Love Pope to death but he had to learn accountability and leadership if he wants to truly succeed here.

Why lump Jelavic in there? He played 18 minutes and score 4 pts on 2/2 shooting and added 7 rebounds and an assist.
Now the other 3 played 25 minutes combined and gave us very little.
This team can’t seem to do anything the easy way right now. Avoided the big first half deficit tonight, but then went stall ball too early and had a late 11 point lead trimmed to 2 with less than a minute left. At least we were able to hold on for the win this time unlike our similar late game droughts against UNC and Missouri. 4-2 to start SEC play isn’t that bad all things considered, so hopefully we keep winning and improving.
Damn I forgot we played but I guess that’s the kind of things that happen when you work 2 full time jobs

That was Chandlers best all around game of the year. Props to him, I was on him hard about his D lately. Still needs to improve that but I can see he is working on it and playing more in stride.

Seems like they tighten up at home in close ones down the stretch and play more free on the road. Both the Missouri and Texas game had droughts at the end from the field
