They were .500 in regular season and went to a bowl game vs a team with more talent and experience. Could Greene have won those final 2 games to get them to a 2nd straight bowl? Greene biggest asset is his legs, heart and determination. He doesn't wear concrete shoes. I believe JTD gave up and it reflected in his game play and the team noticed and followed with the same lack of interest.
It doesn't have to be an RPO QB to win. You just have to have the ability to get outside the pocket to avoid a sack.
I'm not advocating that Greene should've played last season. I am advocating that Crowder, who has been given zero chance to play meaningful minutes should've been assessed last year rather than wasting time with Doege. I'd much rather of had a 5-7 season where we get a good assessment of the future QB situation rather than 6 win season and toilet bowl for a known barely .500 QB in Doege. I feel the same about the rest of this season and JT.
