Gary Parrish article on the game from tonight...

His radio show ain't bad. He is pretty funny and gets A-list interviews. Eric Hasseltine has a show prior to Parrish that is also good. They are way better than most local shows on sports radio.
..in order to fortify his thesis that MSU basketball is a chaotic mess that used the Vandy game to rise from the ashes like the phoenix, he never once mentioned MSU entered the game ranked.
Nor did he mention the great run MSU had in New York, how MSU beat a rising UWV team or how MSU lost to Baylor by only 2.
He couldn't mention those facts because it would gotten in the way of his framing of MSU as a program where unruly thugs fight amongst themselves & lost to an Ole Miss team that got its best player busted ordering a pizza.
That was my first, & last, foray into a Parrish column.

Parrish may have bad hair and overly white teeth. But the insight into behind the scenes college basketball he has provided over the last 4 or 5 years at CBS has been excellent. And it is rare to see such access to topics elsewhere.
But his show is pretty good and he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously,,,<div>

His framing of MSU.....That is standard procedure for Memphis sports radio.
Also, having listened to his radio show; I can not take anything he writes seriously. Knowing the things he talks about and his opinion on those topics, seems to me, his picture fits his personality.
