CEFCO and Shell in downtown Brandon is out. The Chevron was limiting gas. They will be out soon. There will be no gas in Brandon by tomorrow. The CEFCO Manager told me it will probably be after Saturday before they get gas and they are think it will cost over 4.00 a gallon. I hope they are wrong.

Wife has a Grand Cherokee Diesel. Just stopped in Madison to get fuel and when I got out the guy at next pump with a diesel truck said "they are out of gas". I said, good thing this is a diesel...

A decent portion of North Mississippi gets its gasoline from Memphis.

There is a Marathon Refined Products line running through the Delta to the east side of Memphis as well.

I bought gas for $2.54 at Raceway on Airport Road this morning before going to see my cardiologist. I went back home to pack for my trip to BR and Lafayette and in that 54 minutes it has gone up to $2.69.

It has never ceased to amaze me how gas prices at the pump can go up in an hour at the first rumor or news regarding any hiccup in the supply chain but it takes *weeks* for it to go back down after the problem is resolved. Funny how that works.

Refineries are currently on certain allocation amounts in the Mid-South. Once a certain amount of product has been loaded, Valero & the like are not giving anymore out until the next day instead of weekly.

Expect to see shortages the longer this drags out
