Jacksonville Beachfront Courtyard Marriott is the bomb. Damn fine Inn. Stayed 5 days and enjoyed it. Joe's Crab shack and a Sports bar called Sneakers was some good eats and drinks.

We went to the coaches luncheon and the Bulldog turnout was pitiful. It was almost a NW pep rally. NW coach is a slam dunk speaker that kicked Dan's ***. Sorry. Dan spoke as if he KNEW he was going to be outcoached and carry an L outta there the next day, and it was an almost certainty. Most of the team carried the same vibe as well. Did not have a good feeling at all about this game being competitive.

Those of you who criticized Cam Lawrence's lack of speed for an OLB can stick it. He's a damn good college LB and is a tackling machine. He also carried himself like he gave a **** at the luncheon. Were gonna suck even worse on Defense next year and a big part of the reason will be #10 not being out there with his instincts and doing a fundamentally good job of dropping opposing playmakers to the ground.

I can't believe Nickoe (as an upperclassmen) hasn't been taught that spiking the ball in that situation is a penalty. Regardless, he played like he is finally 100% from the achilles injury.

Tyler had a bad game, but he is a multiple record-holder as a Bulldog....deal with it and cut him some slack.

Devin Bell=good kicker for 3 more years

Special teams still needs a coach other than ***, if only to have a better scheme to block on punt and kickoff returns.

The next 5 weeks are crucial. Dan has GOT to recruit his *** off and make it count by getting his staff evaluated and develop the guys and lay down a great scheme in all areas.

I know most of the above statements are probably no-brainers for the most part...just wanted to get it on record on this forum to make myself feel some peace of mind, I guess.

If you`ll watch a replay you`ll see that Dan`s demeanor on the sideline didn`t change from the coaches luncheon.

I remember the look he had when NW got the ball back at the very end before running out the clock. He appeared to be confused about the fact that he just got his *** beat.

The look after the botched onside kick said it all to me. He had "17 it we`re gonna lose" written all over his face. It was absolutely obvious he had given up.
