With Elva Kaye digging deep into the Famous Maroon Band vault of halftime performances, you know it would have been either patriotic or Beatles. No surprises there.

was how good of a band Illinois had. They are, by far, the best band I've ever seen with white people in it. Now, I'm not a fan of lady gaga or anything (Illinois played one of her songs), but they were very, very good.

In other news, remember when we had the male flag twirler? Around 2004 to 2006 I think... ? We all called him a flaggot. Well, Baylor one-upped us and has 2 flaggots.

...a couple of my cousins were in the Iowa band in the early to mid-1980's. They told me that most of the Big 10 schools have auditions (just to be in the band), full scholarships, etc.
