The democrat champion. I am aure yall would love to see California election rules implemented nationwide. Yall don't care about the will of the people at all. You just want your way at any cost.

Gavin Newsom has rigged California elections in every possible way.

Requiring ID to vote is illegal.

Universal mail in ballots are the easiest way to commit fraud.

The DMV automatically registers people to vote.

Ballot harvesting is legal.

They made it illegal to hand count ballots.

There’s no set time limit for how long pulling stations have to count the votes.

Now he stands in front of the camera, with all the worst California Democrats standing behind him, and tells you that democracy depends on him rigging California elections even further.

This poll doesn't demonstrate opposition to Newsom's plan specifically which calls for a Nov 4 special election to temporarily gerrymander these districts until the new Census in 2030, which would then return power to the Commission. It just depends on how he frames it but what shouldn't be lost on you is that Californians are in favor of playing by the rules, while there are no rules in Texas, so they can run roughshod over any constituent opposition to their naked power grab. You should be ashamed of what your party is doing to keep the American people from having their say.

The newsome tweet approach was mildly funny and clever for a bit. But I gotta say, my reaction to running it out like a full-on ad campaign feels a lot like "New Coke". Aside from the imitation as flattery angle, it just comes across as phony. (TBC, the fact that it doesn't come across as phony for Trump, even though we all know neither of them is writing any of these tweets, is it's own, different kind of concerning.) I mean, it's like some skinny-pants wearing cub reporter from WaPo with his face buried in his phone looking for story ideas and content from others' twitter accounts. (Yes, that is what they look like; i frequently ride the elevator with them.)

  • Growing Labor Force: California's labor force grew by 137,000 since January 2025, including 33,000 new entrants in June alone. This influx, including recent graduates and returning workers, has outpaced job creation, temporarily increasing unemployment as these individuals seek work.

  • Tech Sector Challenges: The Bay Area's tech industry, a significant economic driver, has faced layoffs due to post-pandemic "right-sizing" and the adoption of artificial intelligence, which has automated entry-level tasks. Over 10,000 tech job cuts were reported in 2025, impacting new graduates and entry-level workers the most.

    Thanks Trump!
  • Economic Policy and Uncertainty: Federal policies, including tariffs and spending cuts under the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency, have created uncertainty.Tariffs, affecting California's $675 billion trade economy, and hiring freezes in state and local governments (e.g., San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose) have slowed job growth. Federal employment in California dropped by 400 jobs in July.
