The curls that Gavin throws to the outside are fantastic. He has the arm to make that throw everytime which we haven't had for a while. He's getting much better at reading dbs.

Those numbers are interesting if I am understanding them correctly,

If the opponent is just beating our OL with their DL and getting pressure, like most QBs Wimsatt is not very successful.

However, when the opponent can’t beat our OL with a 4man rush and sends additional rushers, as long as the protection picks up the blitz Wimsatt does a real nice job of staying calm and taking advantage of their reduced pass coverage.

Wimsatt is a solid QB and as most have felt our success all comes down to our OL play.

Here are the numbers that count, 45 of 87 is a 51.7 % passer. Last year he was 44%.

He has improved and has greatly reduced his INTs but you will never be a very good QB with a 52% completion percentage. Next year I think he'll be around 57% and a true B1G QB!!

Gavin has also thrown away a lot of balls when he is under pressure. Is rather have him do that then take a sack, throw a pick.

I don't see him missing wide open receivers. Coverage is pretty tight on almost all of the throws IMO. While I don't love that completion percentage and I thought Simon was the better option, Ive been impressed with Gavin so far. That said, his receivers have made a lot of excellent catches.

I don't read dbs. I put them on ignore.
Love the OP. Gavin looks great this year. Not perfect, but which QB is perfect besides Penix at UW?

4th week Big 10 QB ratings.
Gavin holds spot as the 4th best in conference. So our eyes do not deceive us. Sticking with him was the right decision. And it only gets better from here. He is the real deal. Just watch his passing against Michigan (maybe the best defense we will face this year) and you will see a star in the making.
