... that was in response to the Marshall Terd politician from Cabell County submitting a demand for WVU-MooU to be played annually, site to be worked out between the 2 schools.

Only in Morgantown! LOL! .. that should end the series for sure! Should say the same for football too.

It really makes sense.... ....you don't play teams like Marshall ANYWHERE but home (or some 4 or 6 team mini tourney).

Think about this for a minute. WVU played Marshall in their front yard (35 minutes from campus) in Charleston for the last 20 years or so. Why not play the next 20 or so in the northern part of the state? ;-)

I've suggested signing a deal for five games - all in Morgantown. IF Marshall wins any, sign for another five, with the third game in Huntington. After those ten, if Marshall is interested in another five plus five, go for it. Same deal.

I also want to see WVU playing a game in Charleston, against someone else.

I'm sure he does. And Marshall's president would probably like to play WVU only in Huntington. And some politicians in Charleston would like the schools to continue playing in Charleston.

We'll see where it ends up eventually. Its not a one sided piece of a puzzle.

Guess you better write the politicians and instruct them they have no ability to do anything then--because upon last resort legislation was being put forward to have the game played.

I think the nimrods from Cabell County better see if they have any support for that before they embarrass themselves ala Friends of Coal Bowl.

When the president of the university says "Hell, No", I believe that says it all.

Tell Marshall that until they make an NCAA tournament, there is no consideration for anything other than games in Morgantown.

You're miss the timing of Gee's proposal. The Cabell County politician said he was submitting a proposal to DEMAND WVU play Marshall annually, but leaving the "where" up to the two schools to negotiate. Gee was simply rendering that proposed bill moot by stating he WANTS to play Marshall, but ONLY IN MORGANTOWN! So Gee is using Moo U's playbook of negotiating in the public media.

BTW, NOBODY cares about Moo U basketball. The only way the Herd gets anyone to watch them play is when they play WVU. Other than politics, they have no leverage to demand any home games.
