IF Mullen is even on Florida's list, he's on their 'B' list. The A list starts with Bob Stoops (who was in discussions with UF last year when Urban quit). #2 is probably Petrino (who was #2 on the list when Urban was hired). After that, the 'A' listers are Chris Peterson and others with more experience.
In addition to being a johnny-come-lately, they infer that there's some bad blood between UF and either Mullen and/or Meyer and his regime. Like they're looking for a fresh start.
There have also been some veiled references to Mullen being persona non grata at UF, which reminds me of how they talked about him when he first left for State. The prevailing opinion seemed to be that a) they wouldn't miss him and b) he was an idiot for every leaving UF.
Anyway, my hunch is that it will not matter whether Mullen woudl take the UF job. I doubt it will be offered to him.
