Look at the Manngleton situation and tell me that this world is not upside down. How does a piece of crap like this guy get the time of day? From anyone? Much less an institution of higher learning? Is there anything redeeming at all about this guy? Anything worth celebrating? Anything worth emulating? Anything worth spending hard earned dollars to support? Anything worth using even one ounce of ink printing about? Anything worth using one scintilla of a watt of energy posting about?

And yet he's praised, coddled, justified, defended, paid, lauded and sexed to his empty heart's content because he catches footballs.

Just another Pat Pat. Another Dontae. Another Pig. Another Counterfeiter.

If all of this is true he should not be playing in Oxford or Starkville next year. It is one thing to get caught with weed but beating the **** out of your girlfriend and the damage to the car is pretty far out there. To me this measures more up to the Budweiser shootout if what has been reported is true. I know that there is another side of the story though.

if any of our players, any of them, much less any recruits who weren't even on campus yet, punched a 16-year old girl and then had their brothers and father join in the hysteria, I wouldn't want to see that player in a State uniform. Maybe it's because I have two daughters, but I wouldn't want to see that player wearing a State jersey.

The sad thing is that he's getting legal help from a Reb Lawyer who is probably working 'pro-bono'. Their firm profile doesn't even list criminal defense as one of their core areas. That would be one hell of a window of opportunity to recruit by; "sign with us and we'll defend you in all your legaltransgressions".

Sure beats what I have to offer; "sign with us and I'll draw you up some house plans".</p>

I know it doesn't matter at this point, but he needs to send a message. I'm sure our players aren't all saints, but they have put in work already with the team, and I doubt they beat up girls. They deserve more consideration. As for recruits, they should be on a short leash.

It would also cheapen the whole big signing day splash they are planning.

just to send a message to future recruits and their families that what used to be tolerated at MSU is no longer under the new regime.

You normally see just a few sentences of each report once a week. Now since I do not get a actual newspaper anymore I cannot remember if it shows the names.

I agree 100%. I do not care how well this guy catches a football, we do not need this type on our team. We seem to have a pretty good group of players and there is no need to introduce a potentially cancerous type player into what we have. We are not that desperate for talent.

Also, if Mullen publicly drops his recruitment then it kind of makes Nutt look like crap if he signs him.

2 teammates fighting is the same thing as someone beating up a 16 year old girl while she's on the ground.

since the original post said nothing about State or Ole Miss, but what the hell. The Hawaiian Punch was ******** and part of a much larger problem. And if you haven't noticed, many (most yet?) people want the coach of that team to get the ax.

Lets also not forget that at about the same time as the incident in Hawaii, Ole Miss accepted the transfer of Jelean Kendrick form Memphis for practically the same thing except he was not on TV or wearing a wife beater.

wanted us to keep Maurice Langston when he was busted in the 'Burg with a pound of weed.

Let me let you in on a little secret. That amount of weed is not for medicinal purposes or self consumption.

If it was proven he beat on a 16 yr old girl and his family kicked dents in her car, then I would be all for dropping him. I think a lot of us would be.

anywhere except in a court of law. Rightly or wrongly, if you're accused of something, your reputation takes an immediate hit (oh wait, was that a poor choice of words considering the circumstances?).
