For me personally, The Masters is probably the second biggest professional sporting event of the year. The excitement of the first golf major of the year, the sign that Spring has arrived, the large raucous crowds, and the pristine layout that is Augusta National setup to always make The Masters an excellent event. Obviously there are many story lines going. Both Phil and Tiger have already won this year, with Tiger rising back to World Number 1. Rory McIroy has been struggling big time, but seems to have put it all back together in San Antonio this weekend. And as always, the wide open field seems to put several unexpected challengers to the fore front. While, Tiger is the heavy favorite, and I'll be rooting for him, I believe his inconsistent driving will keep him from the green jacket so I'm picking Matt Kuchar to win. I think his game sets up well for the course. It's a bucket list achievement for me to attend the final round...hope to one day. So with that said get excited to enjoy another "tradition unlike any other".

Been over there 4 times including a trip for a job interview ( was offered a job and turned it down. Women can do terrible things to you're thought process). My favorite place I have ever been to.

Hard to not pick Tiger. I think the fear factor from the field may come back full circle if he is leading Friday night.

Totally agree with this post including the kuchar pick and to me it's better than the super bowl or first round of the NCAA tournament. Only been once and that place is unreal. Everyone needs to go see that whether you play or not.

The tables are set for it to be a very good Masters. The Americans have been hot so far this year and hopefully that trend will continue this week. However, I think either Adam Scott or Justin Rose have a good shot. Personally, I'd like to see Rickie Fowler win. Big fan of that kid. With all that being said if I had to put money down I'd go all in with Tiger. His putting has been stellar and that is crucial at Augusta National.

I'll be at Monday afternoon and Tuesday practice rounds. Looking forward to a good time to a special place.

Definitely will be interesting to see if Snedeker can pull it off after coming back from the rib injury. That really slowed down all of his momentum he had a few weeks ago.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Tiger is truly back.

I think if he wins a major this year, the Master's is it. He certainly has all the momentum and like others have said, if he is near the top of the leaderboard on Friday and Saturday, it will wreak havoc on the mentality and confidence of the rest of the field. His presence can do that.

Personally, I'd love to see an old school guy win it this year, like Freddie Couples or Tom Watson. I think that would be interesting, but those guys are really only there for nostalgia, but every once in a while, one of them will make a run at a championship, and to me that's pretty damn awesome.

I really hope I can visit Augusta one day, if only to simply walk the course. I've heard people describe it as like no place on earth. The whole course is serene and absolute perfection.

I think Tiger "is back" after seeing the way he's played with intensity lately. I think we could very well see him and McIlroy in the final pairing Sunday ... McIlroy seems to have found himself this past weekend.

I'm not sure they'd ever let you on the course if they find out you termed the Patrons a "raucous crowd" ....

Interested to see the pairings announced tomorrow...

Who plays with the 14 year old Chinaman? Who gets stuck in the circus with Tiger? Will they pair anyone young and up-and-coming with the likes of Couples, Furyk or Els?

Am I right that pairings are usually announced at noon eastern?

Bubba will play with Steven Fox, if that helps. They are announced tomorrow

but I don't think there is a set time.

I've got practice round tickets for Wednesday, but I'm probably selling

I only live 30 mins from the course and I've been several times. I love the place and I love going but I've got 4 tickets that I paid $40 a piece and I can sell them for $500 to $700 a piece. Sorry that'll pay my deer club dues and part of my duck club dues. I've got two buyers calling me 4-5 times a day right now. Maybe I'll keep two and sale two, I don't know.

My take on this year will be iron play and putting. THis is the first year in several that we haven't had a ton of rain leading up to and during the tournament. Greens will be lighting fast and hard. Although I expect Augusta National to dampen up the greens on Sunday for some scoring.
