The newspaper reported Thursday night that the school is accused, per NCAA findings, of two Level I violations after an investigation revealed a former Yellow Jackets basketball coach and a man named Ron Bell provided improper benefits and broke recruiting rules with prospective student-athletes. Georgia Tech coach Josh Pastner is not named nor held responsible for any of the violations detailed in the NCAA's findings. When reached by phone Thursday night, Pastner declined to comment to CBS Sports.

The NCAA found that in November 2016 – six months after his hire to join Pastner's staff – LaBarrie took a prospect on an official visit and a team member to a strip club, and both were provided with $300 cash, and also facilitated an improper recruiting contact with a person described in the notice as a representative of the school's athletics interest. (All names in the report but LaBarrie's and Bell's were redacted.)

Further, the NCAA alleged that LaBarrie provided false or misleading information to the NCAA and institute regarding his knowledge and involvement of the violations alleged, attempted to influence the team member to provide false or misleading information and further tried to conceal his attempt to influence the team member.

This is a published figure so there's no BS involved. UNC spent over $18 million in legal fees fighting the crap they pulled. We had Skadden doing the fighting and needed every $500\hr body they billed us for. Such as...in discovery Skadden "found" a misplaced internal report from their investigative team saying there was no basis for a notice of allegations. The guy that overruled them...ex SEC Commissioner. They tried to hide it. Whole damned bunch needs to be fired.

Screw it...good luck in the Dance. You guys are one team I don't want to see again...too many shooters that can catch fire.

No doubt the NCAA is corrupt. Sad. Good luck I think you guys have a far better chance this year even with the loss last night.

Bro, I was tagging strippers in the champagne room while in college. This is absolutely not a big deal and the ncaa needs to mind their own business. Boys will be boys.

It’s dumb, bro. Guys are going to go where there’s naked girls and girls gonna take their clothes off for money. It’s just part of life.

Meanwhile schools are orchestrating fake degree programs just for on the court advantages. SMH. I lived off campus but bet I wouldn’t have been up in minardi Hall if I seen it going down and bet I haven’t been in the cheetah in Atlanta a time or ten.

The NCAA is just straight garbage. Still pissed at what they did to us and us trying to do what’s right and cooperate with the bastards.

Hey I agree. You talk to a lot of guys being recruited if their honest lots have done that. I think the whole thing is BS unless everything was funded by GT then that’s obviously an issue. Everything going on and the NCAA is once again focused on strippers. They are one dysfunctional organization.

I don’t even care if the school pays for it. Just redistributing back to the school through the club employees. They’re paying for all of this other dumb ****, might as well get it back to the school through a student. Hell, Carolina defense might work with that

UNCs defense might have worked for us had one non student athlete came forward and said they were there and McGee paid. Lol

They were talking about this in Memphis today and they said Bell and Pastner have been doing this in Memphis when Calipari was the coach of Memphis.
Sure and Chris Mack allows the same thing, right? Unsupported rumors are bad for everyone.

These weren't rumors this was on talk radio and it was a U of M employee who was familiar with the Calipari program.

Fell for the same nonsense. Mitch isn't the brightest bulb.
At least we agree on Mitch. He hired Billy G based on a one game resume - beating the Cards in Rupp.

I listened to a lot of Lex radio during that period due to my job. A lot of media, Dave Baker and Larry Glubber in particular, were against Cal based on perceptions coming out of Mempiss.

I was too but then I learned who Cal really is. Like it or not, he's a good man.

My :p is not at Pitino Lite. It's at a slapd!ck mentality that declares him to be a "good man" and honestly believes it...
Well, I can name a very long list of the good things he has done, can you name 3 bad things he's done?

Go!
1- Ask UMass.
2- Ask Memphis.
3- Ask his 1st wife.
Bonus. Soon to ask after FBI gets done: Ask BBN fans.

Your turn. List the good thing now.
Ask UMass what? The NCAA investigator even said Cal was a victim.
Ask Memphis what? Rose wasn't even on campus yet when his alleged cheating happened. Again, no charges against Cal from the NCAA.
Ellen is his first wife.
The FBI has nothing on Cal but I guess you can keep hoping.

For starters, he also raised a million for Letcher County after the tornados. And let's not forget the million he was just paid by Facebook is all being donated. There is more but you get the point.
