Here's the latest from a bama poster that either has good sources or is a hellaciously good guesser because he has been posting for two months that the Cam deal would explode, then after it exploded he posted that there was more coming and we get the cheating at UF ****, and he posts that there's MORE coming, and we get this afternoon's FBI flameout, and now he posts this:

There is another shoe to drop in this whole thing and that's tying the whole pay for play to Auburn. ESPN and NYT are working on that right now and the FBI probably got a tip off that will help them secure some phone records. There has been a connection made between 2 coaches at Auburn and 4 of these camp directors/front men that if investigated cannot be denied. All these guys had to do was find the source of funds to push and pick their products so to speak and the rest was done for them.

FB is blaming Mullen, Bond, UF and anyone outside the state of AL for this mess. My point is what is he going to say when AU is actually tied to this through their coaches? Clear enough?

I think his point is that Finebaum really doesn't care. He will turn on AU & Cam so quick, the reflection from his bald head will be picked up by satellites. Finebaum doesn't care about AU or Cam. Finebaum cares about his ratings. Right now, he is playing to the AU faithful in his state because AU & Cam haven't been proven guilty. If & when they are, he will start railing against AU for being a historically dirty program, against Cam & Cecil for being money grubbing snakes, etc. He will still get his ratings because all the AU fans will faithfully tune in so they can get pissed off about it all in a whole new way. Also, they will be able to call in & whine, moan, cry, complain of vast conspiracies, etc.

Finebaum is a slimy turd who couldn't care less about AU or Bama, but he is smart enough to know that every idiot in the state who cares about football will tune in.

to appreciate what you just posted. Once I figured that out, I quit listening unless I knew he was going to be ragging on Bama or Auburn (and then it was kinda like watching WWF for entertainment).

and I laugh at the idiots who say "lets blow his phone lines up" to tell your side and rant.
That is what he wants..all he cares about is getting people riled up and to call and listen to his show.
Best thing anyone can do..is turn it off, dont listen and dont talk about him.
Media only has power if they can be heard.

I live in Texas & can count on one hand the times I have listened to Finebaum when I happened to be in Alabama. He is so blatant & transparent about playing both sides, I knew it after about the third time I listened.

Sadder still, I have a very close friend who lives just north of Birmingham. He is a huge AU fan. He has told me in the past that he knows Finebaum plays both sides like a fiddle and says whatever he needs to say to get ratings. Yet, he is listening to Finebaum every day right now during this whole saga. I have talked to my friend on the phone more in the last week than I have in the last 4 months because he is calling me nearly everyday to tell me the latest news being "reported" on Finebaum's show. I usually listen respectfully while my friend spews all of the crap from Finebaum and then die laughing when we hang up.

I guess the fans of Bama & AU in the state just can't help but tune in, even when they know what Finebaum is like.
