Flood's recruiting is great. Stars don't mean anything. All our recruits are underrated and should really be 4 stars but the recruiting services don't know how to rate recruits...

To be fair, we are getting embarrassed by kids from a whole bunch of other states too.
What does NJ have to offer? Even its pro sports teams don't associate with NJ. It is about as irrelevant a state as you can get when it comes to athletics.
Jesus Christ could coach Rutgers and players like Peppers, Apple, Jenkins, Hill, Fitzpatrick, Walker and Gray are not coming to RU. Some kids want to get out of NJ; some kids want to play on the biggest stage and some kids want to play for a national championship.
This is simply the reality of what us as RU fans must deal with.
None of these kids owe their loyalty to their State University. Their loyalty is to themselves as they perceive it.

This isn't completely true. We need a big time recuiter that can keep a few and the rest will slowly begin to follow. We had the beginning of the formula the last year Schiano was here.
