It's a long way out and I'm sure it will change by in the morning but its always interesting to keep an eye on.
GFS forecast model has a snow storm in Memphis on NYE.

Good catch. It would be fun to see a wave of energy plow through during the Liberty Bowl, but the GFS is less than accurate beyond 5-7 days. Everything else is pure 17ing magic. GFS is now doing something funky on the southern plains on the 26th. Keep in mind, the GFS is aggressive in phasing the southern and northern branches of the jet stream.
My job will keep me from attending the game so I won't be worried about travel. That may be an issue if this pattern verifies. I'll wait and see what the Euro does before I get excited. Keep your fingers crossed.
