Giants WR suspension

Should be have been ejected during the game? Should his coach have pulled him and sat him on the bench? Is one game right or not enough?

Think that for me after the leading with the head shot, he would have had his pads pulled off by me. He would have sat the rest of game, even if it meant the late comeback loss would have been a blow out still. Young man has a ton of talent and a Bryce Harper ego.

With the recent concussion issues, lawsuits, and rules implemented to make the game safer, this suspension is not nearly long enough. I thought this should be AT LEAST two games. Roger dropped the ball on this one.....again.

I disagree - and if Beckham indeed should be suspend Norman and refs should be as well. All at fault.

There was a very similar incident in the Steeler/Broncos game - no star player and ESPN crying - no suspension. Complete BS IMHO. NFL reacting to Monday morning QBs on ESPN is no way to run a league.

You realize this stuff happens in every game - the only reason the NFL acted is the media noise around it. NOT because of concussion concerns....Come On.....wake up.

There was a very similar incident in the Steeler/Broncos game - no star player and ESPN crying - no suspension. Complete BS IMHO. NFL reacting to Monday morning QBs on ESPN is no way to run a league.

The refs did a terrible job of policing this from the beginning. They allowed it to go on too long and it obviously got out of hand

You're right in that the refs let it escalate, but they shouldn't be suspended for something Beckham did.

Yep, you're right. Players should be allowed to intentionally launch themselves using their head is a projectile into another opposing players helmet with few consequences to their actions. Carry on, Giants fan.

Not a Giants fan but ODBJr is on my fantasy team - so I am biased. My problem is there were things that led up to this that could have headed off the incident - mostly on the refs (and all the dirty laundry is coming out today.....Panthers are dirt bags - big shocker with Scam Newton as the ring leader). I also saw a hit just as ugly in the Broncos/Steelers game (flagged as a PF) - but since it was not 2 star players there is no media buzz and no suspension. Why should ESPN dictate who plays and who does not. THAT is my problem. Was it a PF? Yes. Should NFL suspend guys for that type of hit. Yes. But they need to do it for EVERY hit like that. They aren't - so they are hypocrites covering their asses when ESPN turns up the flame a little too high on anything concussion related.

OBJ had one of the filthiest games I have ever seen. 1 game is not enough. A league that has shifted its entire focus to player safety all but gave a slap on the wrist the one of the most gutless performances in the history of the NFL.
