I am really uncomfortable with law enforcement getting involved for an altercation on the field. Fans involved, yes. Fight after the game, yes. Hitting an official, yes. But not a player during the game.

Fights happen in sports. Not condoning them but they happen and have happened for many years. In my day you just handled it. You didn't call the cops. Plus, it did not appear that the victim was injured. The offender was really just sort of wailing away wildly and was probably merely hitting the other players arms. Should the offender be suspended? Absolutely, she should be kicked off the team for at least a year, if not permanently, and made to apologize personally to the girl she hit but no way should the police have been called. I see that as akin to the campus cops coming on the field after polk at USM.

Incidentally, it seems to me that there is something more to this than meets the eye. It seems a bit unusual to me that such a rinky dink thing would engender that kind of reaction. It didn't look to me like the other girl even touched her when she tripped. I think something else had be going on between those two earlier on.

Victim wasn't injured? Offender just wailing away?

Even when the adult was attemping to separate them, the dumbass b&$ch continued to throw punches until the adult was blocking her arms. Then she continued to pull and tug on the white girls hair....with both hands. Also, I find interesting the two closest teammates, 5 & 22, did nothing.

But It doesn't matter if the girls punches did harm. The intent to physically harm the white girl was there. Therefore that idiot should be suspended forever from high school athletics at the least.

if you are black and you throw a punch, it must be a crime?

or... are they more suspicious because it is a black girl playing soccer?
