I can't believe nobody has mentioned Central Grocery in the French Quarter! You CANNOT leave N'awlins until you get a Muffuletta at CG. Best damn sandwich you will ever eat in your life. Pricey, but most people can get 2-4 meals out of just one.
Parasols may be better!
I’d like to do a blind taste test

For a work conference. Haven’t been in many years. Will be staying at the Hilton Riverside. Taking a bunch of yankees with me. Best places to eat?

I know SPS won’t let me down.

Baronne Bistro was fantastic my last trip. Gallier's Seafood has also been a good to for me lately.

Don’t forget Mandina’s. It’s a local place on Canal in Midtown. Been there since 1890’s, same family.

Let me throw in Middendorf's on the drive there or back. That thin fried catfish is the best.

So many great places down there that it’s hard to go wrong. One of my favorites is Cochon and that is probably walkable from your hotel (depends on the preference of the crowd…. Probably about 1/2 mile)
Second on Cochon, but yeah - hard to go wrong in NOLA where food is concerned.

Cafe du Monde is a big “no”, best beignets in town at the cafe at the Roosevelt Hotel.
Solid for dinner…GW Fins, Luke, La Petite Grocery, Bayona, Brigstens
Po-boys at Parkway
