Black Desert where the PGA played last week?We actually bit the bullet and swapped out Coyote Springs for Black Desert
Damn that looks like a sweet trip. I don't think my buddies could overcome that 6 hour drive from Wolf/Black Desert to Sand and Copper.Yep.
Assuming flights don't get cancelled (fingers crossed), have a tentative tee time at TPC Sawgrass on the 14th. Going to cost some bucks, but it is a bucket list venue. Everyone talks about the 17th hole, but from TV, looks like there are plenty of other opportunities to rinse golf balls there.
I read just today in the WSJ that Saudis don't have as much money as they used to - price of oil is way down. And they are trying to spend a lot of money on infrastructure and building tourist industry. LIV had already announced the days of the big bonuses are overVictor Perez to LIV. This is the best they can do? Outside top 100 PGA, meaning he would not retain tour card if he didn't ball out this week, which means he was headed back to DP World. Not eligible for any majors this coming year, I believe. This is not a quality get.
Was this a joke? He just signed a new contract with LIV 3 weeks ago.Dustin Johnson announced he is resigning with LIV, in short, he's basically publicly announcing that he doesn't care that much anymore
`Uhh, show me where DJ quit the LIV tour, as he claimed.Uh, he posted that 3 weeks ago.
If Saudis don’t infuse money, then what is the team value? Curious to see what guarantees Perez receives. Assume that comes out of Cleeks money.
He said he was resigning with LIV, not resigning from LIV. I don’t see an edit in his post. Try and keep up.
Resigning WITH, as in "signing up again", not resigning FROM as in "leaving the tour"`Uhh, show me where DJ quit the LIV tour, as he claimed.
Now they’ve added Laurie Canter, who just got a PGA card via his DPWT finish. Good move money-wise for Canter. 36 year old journeyman.Victor Perez to LIV. This is the best they can do? I was surprised about that, but he got into seven PGA events and missed four cuts.Think he finished 55th in the us open, which must have been about his highlight of the yearNow they’ve added Laurie Canter, who just got a PGA card via his DPWT finish. To LIV lap lickers, this only enforces LIV getting weaker. Not deserving of world rankings. All their “top” players are 4 years older, not better Since they started.
Works for me. I always had an extra polo and shorts in there as well.Played my last "official" round of 2025 yesterday (last one I can post). In putting my clubs away, I realize that I could run a golf shop out of my trunk.
Including my golf bag with a full set of clubs, I have three putters, two drivers, two aiming sticks, three pairs of golf shoes, a bag of practice balls, a putting drill aid, a weighted club to swing in warm up + the customary range finder and iron cleaner tool.
Damn, am I a hoarder, do you think?
I forgot to mention my umbrella in my trunk. Also, I have thought of throwing an old rain vest in there as well, in case I am not at my home course (have a locker) and get caught in unexpected rain shower. I probably would get 5 MPG more if I did not play golf.Works for me. I always had an extra polo and shorts in there as well.
His bank account is really nice but his golf game took a big hit going to LIV.Cam Smith will make his first cut in a tournament in 8 tries this year. Stellar.
Maybe 10 minutes the entire time if that.I've been a golf fan since the 70s. Yes I'm old. But does anyone watch the LIV tour events? I haven't watched a single one.
ten more than I have spentMaybe 10 minutes the entire time if that.
LIV CEO said yesterday that he was signed, but didn't 100% say he'd honor it!Rumors circulating that Brooks Koepka will sit out this season and try to rejoin PGA tour, perhaps as early as August. He has not played a LIV event since last August , and PGA has said you have to serve a one year suspension before applying for readmittance.
Still just a rumor, but neither Koepka or LIV has denied it either as of this morning.
I think I saw that as well.LIV CEO said yesterday that he was signed, but didn't 100% say he'd honor it!
