He'll win several more tournaments, and at least one more major.

Tourney may happen...but he has a long way to go. Much longer than what people thought given the type of shots that are popping up the last couple of weeks. His "A" game now isn't going to compete...he needs that plus a lot of luck.

Major...not going to happen...in the PTI camp now on this based on what I am seeing. He is likely to embarrass himself at Augusta and that will be tough to watch.

He wouldn't even get his card at Q school if he had to.

He's played a few competitive rounds after a year layoff...[eyeroll] You don't even know what his "A" game now is, or is going to be.

It will depend on his health, but if he stays healthy for a 3-5 year stretch, he'll get his game back. He'll never be prime Tiger, but doesn't have to be to win golf tournaments.

Cole, if you took a year off and had two back surgeries i bet you wouldn't shoot your normal 101 or 102 scores. I bet it would be 115-120 ish when you started playing again. Takes a little time.

I'm not ready to say he's done but he is irrelevant (on the course). Never been a huge fan but he was perfect to root against (like the Yankees, Cowboys, etc). Now? Just kinda feel meh about him and concentrate on the insane talent actually out there.

I did not get any and am kicking myself that I did not catch on to it sooner. That said, I just get premium balls at lostgolfballs.com so I am still saving a lot of money. Saw the new Titleist balls yesterday. $47 a dozen. No Thank You.

Zero doubt Titleist and others put the clamps down on the manufacturing plant doing the Kirkland balls. Balls is the real money maker for them. Kirkland would do tremendous harm to their profits.
If you get a chance, try the Vice golf ball. It is a German golf ball that feels and plays a lot like a pro-v. The problem is that you have to order a minimum of 5 dozen directly from Vice. The volume is to help offset the shipping costs. They $24.95 per dozen.

Tiger = Dead Man Walking on the golf course. Don't know if he will ever get back to being able to play 4 competitive rounds in a row, much less winning a tournament.

Buddy of mine got some and they are nice. I bought a 6 dozen pack of Snell My Tour balls and so far they are performing very well. I think the big manufacturers are going to have to deal with these smaller guys starting to gain some traction in the ball market. I literally saved over $100 getting the Snell's over ProV's and get similar performance. A tour player would notice a difference but I am not good enough to be that picky.

As for Tiger, not a good look. I do not know if it is Karma coming back to haunt him or what, but already getting back spasms again is not good. As I mentioned in another post, I have dealt with similar issues in my back (injury not as bad as his) and I have had to be extra cautious playing and even slowed my swing down 5-10 mph to protect my back. He can play with his buddies at the club with his back now but the gruel of playing on the tour is not going to be kind to him. Pounding countless balls at the range, bending up and down putting and teeing his ball, etc. playing tons of rounds, etc. is a chore in itself for someone healthy. He may be finished.

Thank you. I haven't tried the Snell balls.

Will be using these this year. Think they may be getting rid of E7 and E5 and focusing on just the E6 soft and E6 speed golf balls.

Just ordered the Ping G30 LS TEC driver today. New putter in bag as well along with refurbished old 56 wedge AND a titleist 5 wood hybrid. Feel as good about my equipment as I have in a long time. Looking forward to a good year and excited to get to work.

My kid (12) asked for a Casper mattress for Christmas. I got him these instead.

Ping Thrive set a little over $500, but really nice. Graphite shafts, answer putter. Comes with head overs and travel cap for bag. We can potentially reshaft them too.

The way I figure it, it will give us a chance to do something together. Gets me back out there too. Hopefully, wife joins in as she was an effin great player.

I took him to the range the other night and he's got a natural good swing.

Potential.

I have a vintage set of Eye2s with the illegal square grooves. They are still dope along with my G5 woods.

I've got a set too. 1 through SW. 1 and 2 iron have matching serial numbers to the rest of the set. Good shape and the first $500 takes em.

Cawood, how much did you pay for the G30?

I went into Golf Headquarters yesterday and they have them for $250 (only 2 in right now but more on the way). Owner told me to come back and bring my current driver and they will fit me.

Have you hit it yet? If so, your thoughts?

I paid $250 online. Hit it awhile back but didn't buy it then. Really hit it a bit longer and straighter than other ones I tried that day. So I kept it on my mind and read up on it, and think it fits what I want in a driver. Should arrive in a few days.

I tried these on the other day and they were super comfortable. I am not big on the higher top sneaker look on the golf course, but man it was tough not buying these.

Those look good! Years ago my feet hurt after a round of golf and I switched to Footjoy and the problem went away. I have continued to use Footjoy since. Go Cats!!

By the way, who would you all recommend getting a fitting session from in the Lexington area? Looking to fit for all my clubs except putter which I had done not long ago.
